Yeah... I was going to log onto AIM and I couldnt remember my password . The thing is, I was typing about 5 of my other passwords before I remembered the correct one.This really hasn't happened before... so I was kinda shocked I couldnt remember my own password .Anyways, has this happened to anyone else, or am I just losing my mind?  |

| I'm getting to know the feeling. All my usernames and passwords are almost the same, but with slight variants. Guessing those variants is still a pain in the ass. I don't know what I'd do if they weren't similar. | |||

| There will always be a debate whether it is good to have a few passwords or a different one for each account. As long as you password isn't trivial and has nothing to do with you, the password is fine. However, the more "random" the password looks, the better. But there is a danger with "random" passwords... | |||

I have several passwords and manage to remember them all.  I use different ones depending on my mood/certain restrictions. And even if I forget one, I manage to find the right one within a minute. |

| Argh, I can't stand remembering passwords. I usually have the same one, somewhere along the lines of one certain word that I can't say right now, but it has variants to it (Case sensetive, adjectives before it, numbers, extra letters and such). What REALLY irks me is remembering usernames. I can deal with passwords so long as I remember the username I use. Nowadays I just use the same one over and over again but back in the days when I was afraid of the internet it'd change constantly. | |||

| I have three different passwords for all message boards I registered on. I'm using a longer one which is non-standard here (for me fairly easy to remember); but even if someone hacks my password in here, he/she cannot in any other messageboard, since I'm using that PW only in that board The best passwords contain big and small characters, as long as possible and there should be numerals inro it; but on the other hand these are hard to remember - and then you can't login while at work - you'd have to look on a stupid sheet of paper. | I use a different random, usually computer generated, password for every account. I keep them neatly written down. I probaly should use an encrypted password vault program, and then keep the vault file backed up. |
