having a bit of trouble with jj's happy tileset, it comes with a bg apparently but i dont know if inserting bg-s is the same as just normal exgfx.

any help will be appreciated

Yeah, it is, just set it to an empty map16 page and then select that map16 page for the BG.

Yes, I need a SMAS rip. I could do it my self, but well, im lazy. I need the leaf BG from smb3. Its in the first (maby second) level of the world right before bowser. The one with the spot light over mario.

I've got to the level and have a savestate... I'll rip it to use with my other M3 set later tonight.

Yep thats the one. Its in the ROM and its uncompressed but I have ripped it and tryed to assemble it (in the map16), but with no luck. So if anyone wants to rip that and submit it to the workshop that would be great.

Has anyone ever tried the Vsnes? Its somthing that helps me assemble bg tiles together. It can be found here.Once you download it and all. You can load a snes savestate to it. Open the program up, and click the yellow folder on your top left there. Then find your snes savestate. Once that is done, then find the scene veiwer included in the program and then your able to look at the layers of bg's and stuff that is included in the savestate itself.

Here is an example.

As you can see, that is a full pic of the smb3 castle bg. I hope this program helps for you all. Im sure that it isnt that hard to use. Heh. Thats a big pic. I posted this up because this program does not look like it gets much attention. Im sure that a few people out there knows about it. But I posted it here in case it was needed.

@Kirby ATW: Try BG Mapper, it's lot easier to use for ripping BGs and GFX, guess why mine are so good
