| Let's face it, sometimes we want to finish a game but you just don't. For example, you're playing a fairly decent game and have every intention of seeing it through to the end. Then something happes. i.e. 1. You get a better game and end up playing that one instead. 2. You get a few new games and play them. 3. You're swamped with work or something else. Or what have you. Then that game just sits there and you eventually forget about it. Which games have you wanted to finish, but for some reason or another never did? I'll start. Grandia. Excellent game with one of the best battle systems in an RPG. I started this game January 2000. I played it non-stop too. Then some other games came out (RPG's, the PSX was just swamped with great RPG's) and I somehow lost touch. I've came back to it from time to time but I've still never finished it. (In my defense, it is a lonnnng game.) So if I ever do beat it, I think it will be a personal record for me seeings it spanned over 4 years.  As a matter of fact, I think I'll add that to my priority list. I must finish that game. It's personal now. Gah, I can't belive how long it's been. I was still in High School when I started that game and now I've been in the Air Force for three years. There's many others I've put off and forgot to come back to but that's numero uno for me.  Now you go. |

| I have few games I've actually abandoned, as I return to a lot of them months down the track and pick up from where I've left off... o.o That said, I have definitely abandoned the Oddworld game Abe's Exoddus. I got a fairly good way into it, but ugh, I got to a bit that I just can't get past, and I haven't played it for YEARS now. FFIX is in "temporary abandonment" mode again, but I'll pick that up again a little later. FFVI is also in temporary abandomnent mode, but I'm sure I'll pick that one up too again. |

| Ah, that reminds me of the reason I still haven't finished FF6. I lost my save game of it, and I was a long way into it, and I couldn't bring myself to start again for a long time. Now I have started again, but I'm not as far into it as I was. I play every month or so still, so I can't really say I've completely abandoned it though. I'm just taking my sweet time getting through it, that's all  |

Chibi, that reminds me of why I quit Legend of Dragoon.  I played it for about 8 hours, and stopped playing it for a bit because I was moving here. When I started up again a few weeks later, my memory card had been mysteriously deleted. (Yup, it was a MadCatz.) So I started over again. Got up to about the same point in the game. Guess what happened? Yeah, again. I threw the memory card away. (After I threw it against the wall.) And that game has been shelved ever since. It wasn't all that great anyway. I refuse to play through the first 8-10 hours for a third time. |

| Eh, with mine it wasn't a memory card that failed, it was a Windows install that died. I was playing an emulated copy of FF6..... and I lost everything when Windows completely shat itself on my old box. But I have lost my FFX save too. But not too far into it. Just as I pressed the "Save" button, we had a power fKitten Yiffer and it corrupted the save..... |
