| Well ive been a hardcore shenmue fan since the day the original game came out for DC. Now after around 2 and a half years of no words for a sequel to Shenmue 2 they announce shenmue-online. Just totally out of nowhere, im shocked to see they are going to make an MMO action RPG out of the shenmue world. Im fairly torn about this considering I loved the series for it's realism and now they have you shooting fireballs and doing strange shit magical moves or so the very little info on the game at hand shows. I have to admit I do like the idea of Shenmue at least moving in any direction and the CG graphics for the premier trailer made my jaw drop. Anyone else hear of this or are there any other shenmue fans out there?? ah I just wanted to hear a few opinions on the overall series or this idea in general. | Bugger! I absolutely LOVE Shenmue, but I loathe online games. How on earth is Yu Suzuki going to tie up the story when it;'s a MMORPG. That said it may be fascinating though, especially if you have the "Stalk-o-matic" you've got in Shenmue 2 so you can follow girls all day. |

| From what ive heard you play as one of 3 different groups, one uses regular martial arts another uses magical powers and the last is a shadow like type. Im hoping that this game wont add much to the current story or any at all. Hopefully they just want to create a larger fan base so a 3rd game would be worth creating. It looks like they're going all out though ive read there's about a 28 million dollar budget. Hmm..I never really had a DC to play it  . I was interested in playing it. Online would be cool, even more interesting  ..I haven't played an online game either..damn I sure haven't done a lot have I?  |
