Then dont take so long to answer. You arent a moderator yet, so I suggest you shut your mouth until you have something to contribute to the thread and not just to add to your post count. I posted something in here, but after a day or so i come back and still nothing. So, i decided to make a thread about it.

Anyway, i got the title screen working in the beginning, but somehow I got the border in the overworld screwed up. You know, the layer with Mario and the name of the level, with the flowers and mushrooms and things....

It has a black line on the top and the bottom, and some messed up tiles under the bottom black line.

This is a forum, not a chat room

You arent a moderator yet,
Yet? I'll never be. Besides, It was never my intention to be moderatorish. I said that as a piece of advice.

so I suggest you shut your mouth until you have something to contribute to the thread
Uhm...

and not just to add to your post count.
Like I said. It's a piece of advice, not a lame attempt to increase my post count

I posted something in here, but after a day or so i come back and still nothing. So, i decided to make a thread about it.
That means one or more of the following:
1: Nobody knows the answer
2: Nobody that knows the answer haven't read the post yet
3: Nobody cares

Did you mess up the graphics? You could also have accidently overwritten the frame data location (can't remember the exact address).

Question: how do I edit the custom blocks description in LM (as Fu did in DW) and not using an external file?

It's impossible. I belive that the stuff in DW is hardcoded into LM. IIRC, I once saw the tooltip text in LM's EXE.

Can you post a screen shot to make it easier to locate the problem?

Looks like you overwrote the boarder graphics. They're in the 2BPP area and might look like parts of the title screen.

On the FAQ, it says to click on the poisionous blue Mushroom to change the level. It says 'by Mario's head', but I don't have that. I just want to put enemies from other levels in. What do I do? Ive only started using LM.

Have you got the latest version of LM? If so, Mario's head is near the end of the GUI.

The poisonous blue mushroom changes the graphics used, not the level. If you can't see it, try to make the window larger.

Thanks guys! I never realised there was more options when you enlarged it. Cheers!

So, can I actually have enemies from other levels in ones they normally aren't? Or will they always be glitched like that?

Uhm... I didn't quite understand your question... Yes, you can put enemies from other levels through that window, if that's what you're asking...

You can put other enemies in the level, although the gfx will be glitched. To avoid glitchy gfx, make an exgfx file containing which only enemies you want for that level.
This way you can have a level with Monty Moles, Rexes, Spinies and Volcano Lotuses, for example

OK, I have another question, sorry if Im pestering but sometimes the terminology you guys use is confusing. Anywho: you (Aioria) said to make a exgfx file, and I looked at the ExGfx wokshop sticky that said how to do it. I understood the later stuff, but at the beginning it said about stuff like WinRAR, WinZIP, stuff I dont have. It also said "when you have downloaded the pack". What pack is he talking about? Does he mean you download ExGfx, which i didnt think was the case, or is he talking about the whole LM package i got? I am now horribly confused. If he does mean to download, then from where?

I have looked and looked, where is the border graphics? (i looked in the 2bpp area and still couldnt find it) I tried not to post in here until it was absolutely necessary, so i could do everything in my power before asking you guys. (Which is good in mine and Mr. F-Zero's case.)

Mr. F-Zero: There is most likely not any ExGFX file containing the graphics you need. You have to make one yourself.

KP9000: Hmm... This isn't the best way, but it works. Open up a fresh copy of a SMW ROM. Save a level and extract the graphics. Go to the 2BPP area and change the first tile into a 0, the second to a 1, the third to a 2, and so on. Import the graphics and start the game. Now, the boarder will be numbers. Now, look up that number in the tile editor and you have found them.

to give ludwig, morton or roy 5HP open an hex editor and choose offset xD1CD, thats where these 3 bosses' HP is stored. Change the byte from 03 to 05 or any other number..this 'any other number' of course will be the boss HP

Hope this helps ya
