| As the topic says, I thought of uploading an IRC applet (for instance JPilot's jIRC (http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/jIRC-Applet/3000-2410-10173893.html)) to the site, for giving the ones who can not or don't want to install mIRC or a similar IRC client on the machine they're currently on a possibility to experience the pleasure of chatting on #acmlm. I think this won't injure the bandwidth constraints (as people chatting have mostly no time for browsing the board) and isn't too hard to install, too. So, what about this? Have fun, Blacky. |

| I could host it, too... it's quite small and I have still some bandwidth spare... besides, as for jIRC, the only traffic that the hoster must sacrifice is the download of the plugin. It connects just like a usual IRC client from the local machine. @neotransotaku, easy enough, I believe.  |

| Nah, if you go to an internet cafe that opens like, 9 to 5, there's not much point, very little happens in #acmlm during that time. I suppose it would be ok to have in the background, but to have it so people access it from an internet cafe seems kinda useless. | |||

| well it's not really a development feature... as it's basically something Acmlm just has to say OK to and I will do.... all it requires is me adding a headlink to Chat and then setting up the java applet.... which as I mentioned I would do if Ace simply says okay.... however, in the mean time you can use http://forums.networkchaos.net/chat/ and simply type /join #acmlm after it connects (edited by ErkDog on 09-23-04 06:21 PM) |
