I hate to make another thread on a similar subject, but since I moved host, my board has gone mad.

I eventually sorted the error, and it worked fine, but half of the members cannot log in, while the other half can log in fine.

It does the usual old trick with "You are logged in as...", but the names do not show up in the online users bar.

There are other strange issues also, which I have yet to look in to.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance that anyone could give.

Thanks in advance.

Once again, check for that space at the bottom. If that doesn't work, tell me. Also, I'd like to know what you have for your cookie info in config.php

Well, there seem to be a number of spaces in certain files, but when I try to edit them using the file manager, they appear again after saving. I think I may try to save all the files to disk and edit them one by one.

As for the cookie path, the URL is http://www.the-realm.mysitespace.com/main, and the path is:

domain: "www.the-realm.mysitespace.com"
folder: "/main/"

I shall try editing every file now, and see how that goes.

Thanks for the help.

see you should have stayed true to your word... and bought REAL webhosting from me...

not only would your forum be like 100 times faster...

your load times are 1.5 seconds on index.php what the fuck is that crappy shit ?? you actually PAY for that ??

it would be .05 on this server.....

and then I would have just fixed it for you....

As I said, Erk, I have every intention to arrange hosting with you, and I hope that I will be in a better financial position soon.

I sorted that out, and it seems to be working alright now. Thanks Cymoro. The problem seemed to have stemmed from the host's file editor, which seemed to erase all the carriage returns in the file.
