http://www.stormpages.com/ff7forever/pictures80.html It looks bad, I know, it wouldn't have been nearly as bad if my colored pencils didn't keep breaking (a good half of that was done with me trying to use "led" less then a cm long. http://www.stormpages.com/ff7forever/pictures81.html This was one of my art homework assignments. It was also one of four pieces that was entered into the Festival of Arts and Flowers and won Lemon Street Gallery's Young Artist's Award. http://www.stormpages.com/ff7forever/pictures82.html http://www.stormpages.com/ff7forever/pictures83.html Another homework assignment. I had to scan it in two different pieces (I usually do) but I decided it looked cooler seperate. http://www.stormpages.com/ff7forever/pictures84.html http://www.stormpages.com/ff7forever/pictures85.html This drawing was my second job that was sucking up all my time, thankfully it's finished. The first one is a bigger version to see the detail, the second is smaller so you can see the picture as a whole better. Luckily the people who hired me liked it I know this is a lot, but I decided to be unlazy all at once when updating everything and didn't see any point in making more then one thread for it. |

I love the coloring for the floor in the first picture. The woman looks like a female version of Marilyn Manson though. The background is nice, but it falls a bit short colorwise compared to your second work. I have no idea who Pogo is, but his face almost looks photographed. This and Blazing Eclipse are my favorites. Marilyn Manson on the right is a nice combination of colors, but the drawing itself doesn't appeal to me as much as the Pogo one. I don't really know what to say about the mouth, aside from me wanting a dental care program like that (not the metal teeth, but the bottom row looks so nice). I've always liked your dotted work ever since you posted that selfportrait way back on the old board, and this one is no exception. Especially the 'window' to the rest of the depicted scene is nicely done. The structure in the stones is so nice. I have no idea what the play is about, but it seems to be random things put together (what do a duck, an angel, statue of liberty etc have to do with one another?) |

The metal teeth is what stands out for me. The way you did the lighting on that makes it look like real metal. Props to you. | |||

That is very good art. It looks like you spend a LOT LOT LOT of time on your art, which pays off. Metal teeth? Ugh, that looks like it hurts. (which is good, because it looks so real, it conveys feeling. ) |

Thanks The first time my dad saw the first drawing, he thought the woman was Manson *shakes head*. The play was about a prince named Pippin who isn't happy with his life and always wants something more, so he goes from war to politics, casual relationships, art, religion, etc. At the end he ends up with a widow and her son, but isn't happy. The widow's son has a duck, which dies, and Pippin tries to cheer him up. That's what snapped him out of his depressed wandering daze, and actually makes him content living with them. A while later he gets freaked out by the commitement, and the other characters want to set him on fire, sorta so he can go out in a blaze of glory. He doesn't like the idea at first, but eventually agrees, at the last second though he freaks and goes back to the widow and her son. The people who had me doing this wanted a very cross cultural type drawing, so I typed up the following for them so they'd know what everything represented: Castle - his home Statue of Liberty - war and peace Sphinx - relationships with women Stone hedge - art Angel statue - religion Chinese style building - government Eclipse - the end finale, (being engulfed by the flame) Duck - the widow |
