I got caught up in a broad IP ban once. During November, 2001 I tried to load Kuro5hin, my favorite site at the time. netstat showed that the TCP connection just hung in the SYN_SENT state, as if packets were just being dropped. It turned out that Craig McPherson, a notorious Slashdot troll, had been harassing another user that had a background at Slashdot. | I have NEVER read a FAQ on a forum. Not this one, not RR's, Not even the one on forums I adminned on. Meh. 6 years on line (messageboard wise) Roughly 250 forums 17 non-joke bannings 13 on gamefaqs. 2 on Rpgrevelation 2 on Orge's board I been banned for like everything on gamefaqs since I joined it so damn long ago... Throlling, spamming, "begging", flaming, inapporiate user names, inapportiate language (I said "Me and mygirlfriend are gay together"... Apparently I'm not allowed to use the orginal meanings of words...), Lying (Yes, really), masturbation talk, stalking people, telling a girl I was to force to marry me, quoting peices of the bible, nad being annoying. Whoa... RR - Spamming and calling Leroy naughty names Orge's board... My user name (forgot what it was orginally but got banned for it). Joined again with my friend Alex and my user name was something like "Alex's erotic puppy" and we would post in topics with alot of sex related things to one another. Third ban never happened, that was just something an admin said as a joke. ... Pink Aya isn't on this board is she? EDIT: Never mind, not found on mod list.
