This thread is your chance to talk about small or unsigned bands that you think other people would like to hear about. Post links to websites, and recommend songs to download.

Machinae Supremacy:
Machinae are a band from Sweden that became famous with their covers of Commodore 64 classic tracks. Since then, they've released highly original content on their website, and an album, Deus Ex Machinae, on internet order.

The first thing you'll notice about Machinae Supremacy is the unstoppable guitar lines driving the music on, and their signature SID Station (based on the C64's famous SID music chip).

Some people may have heared of Machinae after on of their most famous covers, The Great Gianna Sisters, was used as the basis for a Stepmania track.

You should look into Machinae Supremacy if you have been into gaming for a long time, or are into classic/retro gaming. Not only for the famillar chimes of the SID station, but for the gaming themes that are present in many of their songs.

You can download many of their tracks from free from www.machinaesupremacy.com (temporarily down at time of posting... I'll keep you updated)

Recommended tracks:

SIDStyler: Cover of the famous Bomfunk MCs song, Freestyler

Great Gianna Sisters: Cover of the notorious game's theme

SIDology Episode Three: Apex Ultima: A medly of famous C64
covers, including Bubble Bobble

Cryosleep: A personal Favorite

Attack Music: Futurama fans, spot the sample

Arcade: A track for anyone who's ever spent far too much money playing arcade games.
