Iced Hyrule? Thats my hack Kinda fucked up though, It was my first attempt at Hyrule Magic and was kinda screwed right up...I remember I gave up on it and moved onto another Z3 hack, which Im still slowly working on. |

| It's a command-line application. Bring up a command prompt (Start -> Accessories -> Command Prompt), navigate to the zcompress directory (I installed a simple tweak that allows me to right-click on any folder in Windows Explorer and get a command prompt for that directory), and use the correct parameters to use the program (which I presume is zcompress 0 nameofzeldaROM allgfx.bin). | |||

I've already posted this elsewhere and I apologize if it's considered spam, but I figured I'd repost it here since this is sort of a General LttP Information Thread, and the info would probably last longer posted here than it would in my sprite priorty thread which is bound to drop off the board soon   Make Link Sink! $009A - BG blend settings - set to 72 to enable sprite blending on BG2 6A129/0D:A128 - Link's sprite priority (before it gets chunked into RAM) - Change it from $20 to $18 to place him underneath BG2 3D7D8/07: D7D8 - Jump table for handling movement stuff. The pointer at D7E8 ($BCDC) points to the splash-into-water handler. The pointer at D852 ($9DDD) points to the walk-down-stairs handler. To implement the hack, simply, change the blend settings in a savestate, Link's sprite priority in the rom, and the pointer for the splash-into-water handler to the walk-down-stairs handler. Of course, to implement this stuff in a practical, useful way, you'd have to do a whole lot more, but it's kinda neat to see Oh, and by the way, the OAM table is stored at $0800 in wram. Fun! |

| If you're using Snes9x, try Zsnes. Personally, I like the first one best, but for some odd reasons, the hacks don't work there. They work on Zsnes though, so you better try it. If that doesn't work either, you mus have patched the roms incorrectly. | |||

| For all you windows people here's a link to zerosoft. http://zerosoft.zophar.net His IPSWin patching utility is great and really simple to use. I highly recomend it. Also I was just thinking, has anyone ever finished a zelda 3 hack (other than sprite hacks)? I don't mean to sound like a downer. I'm sure no one ever starts out with the intention of quiting, but I would like a completed Z3 hack to play for a change ;-) But to this day I haven't found one :-( Maybe some of you should team up if you start to get discouraged again. It might take some of the load off to know you've got someone backing you up and helping you solve any problems you run into. I'm sure all the team could learn from each others experiences too. Finnally has anyone heard from GameMakr24? His "Quest for Calatia" hack looked to be one of the most promising given his track record with "Outlands". Alright beneficii, I'll update the link.  And as for Killer Robot R, there are three hacks well underway for you to look out till the end of the year/early next, which are: The Legend of Zelda - Tower of the Triforce Euclid continued his demo he released last year and extended it to the full game. He have all overworlds/dungeons finished and have some really good challenges/designs. The Legend of Zelda - Dark Prophecy Omega who already released a demo a while back joined forces with a group of three dedicated hackers: He's doing the overworlds, while Dude Man is doing the dungeons, an unamed spriter and an unamed guy doing asm. So it's really probable for this one to be released. The Legend of Zelda - Gates of Time My hack, have worked on it since last year, been doing a great amount of progress. I sure wanted to cancel it often times before, but it finally seems like I'm going to release it once and for all, then retire from romhacking  But until it's not finished, I'll keep on working on it. |
