Originally posted by MogGuy You're not supposed to use WinRar to patch the file. Extract the ips file and put it into a folder before patching. If you try to run an ips file inside of WinRar, under the default settings, it'll try to read the ips file as a text file. |

| As far as I know, he won't do the dark world with this hack. Instead, he's working on another hack: Zelda: Dark Prophecy... and yes that last hack will have the dark world in it.. It his far promising from the exclusive screens I've seen. Expect to hear more of it later this year or next year.. yea, the hacking process is rather long... | |||

| There were some plans to upgrade Zelda: Omega, but I scrapped that a long time ago. That was never meant to be anything special. It was just a demo hack meant to learn the program. I am glad you enjoyed it, but that hack was ABSOLUTLY NOTHING compared to what is comming. I have chosen to not show any screen shots from Dark Prophecy for a simple reason. I dont want to ruin the game for people. The game looks amazing so far. |

| **Well, that'll probably be the last time I'll change my username, made a layout too, so it should be ok for a while...** A month before the release? Do you expect it to be finish by the end of the year? For mine it will prolly be finished by the firsts months of next year. ~January/February 2005... If I don't get too much bugs with HM, and if I work harder the hack itself (cuz as of today, it's been about a week or so, that I haven't touch to HM at least a single time...). But after long breaks, I make beter hack layouts, I constantly comes back to my Light World to modify things I didn't like, to replace them with better things... I even added a forest in it, which wasn't there at first... so, when both of the overworlds be finished, I'll start working on other things like a hella of new GFX, and the new Link's sprite... also will be the job of the title screens, and when all those will be finished, I'll help garmichael with the dungeons. |

I've reworked on my hack somehow a little again, got to make a larger/new forest, (still some GFX bugs, but don't worry it won't take long before I get rid of them).. | Link's Sprite is a custom one made by Daisuke, made exlusively for the hack. The forest is now complete. I'll show it later.. as for now I've made up a new bridge, cuz the other one was too much plain..  Also I've made up a new castle with custom GFX, so more to come... and since I don't wanna make a thread each time I'll update, I'll just post here... (and probably change the thread title to Hyrule Magic Hacks + Faqs).. EDIT: OK! Here's the new entire overworld:  What's new/changed: - The old forest have been revamped. - There's a new forest right in the middle, next to the catedral. (I know the trees collide with water, I'll fix this later.. >> anyway you cant see those while playing anyway). - Added a Mini-Dungeon next to the old forest. - Changed Lake Hylia area a little. - Added a new entrance to the mountain (North Water area). - Added a new river next to the Castle Town What's in devellopement: - Changing the Pyramid area aswell as the mountain area. (Because the Pyramid will be a two worlds dungeon >> similar to the Spirit Temple in OOT) - Making new GFX for the Mini-Dungeon Castle. On a side note: While surfing on the web, I've found an old forgotten hack which was last updated in April 2002. Legend of Iced Hyrule! Story: In the beautiful kingdom of Hyrule surrounded by mountains and forests...all was well. But then, Ganon came along and froze Hyrule. Many people died as they had no central heating.' Lets kill Ganon'' King said. But no one did. One day more ice began to flow from the Golden Land...So the King commanded people to find the Super Duper Sumos and destroy the Golden Land. That is where the ice is coming from. ... ...But, they died and never found the Sumos. A mysterious grampa known as Elliot came to Hyrule to find the sumos. He kidnapped Boomer, one of the sumos. Through old magic, he began to make people very FAT. One of these people was called Fat Lewis H. And the time of destiny for Boomer's Butt is drawing near. Can anybody help me? I have downloaded some of the IPS patches, but when patching them into the zelda3 ROM, the ROM doesn't work! When using Lunar IPS, the ROM goes corrupt. Some of the other IPS patching programs make the hack work, but only the title screen shows right. When entering your name and start playing, the ROM turns into an unplayable game, (blocks and other things appears everywhere)  . Does anybody know about a solution? I appreciate it! |

| MMh, never saw those problems when patching these. It's probably that you used a bad rom dump. Otherwise, try downloading a different rom from another site and make sure that you use an english rom (forget about other languages)... Also what is the emulator that you use? | I'm using an english (the American, I think) version of the ROM... I haven't found the European... And however, the one I have works nice in Hyrule Magic... (what do you mean with "bad rom dump?). Emulators:I have tried both Zsnes (latest version) and SNES 9X, but it doesn't work... Anyway, thanks for helping me  Update: I'm now sure that I have the wrong ROM (compared to the IPS patches at this site). I tried to create a IPS patch from my own hack and patching it back into an original zelda3 room, and it WORKED...
