"Filming began on SEED OF CHUCKY yesterday in Romania, with the franchise's screenwriter, Don Mancini, directing the fifth CHUCKY romp from his script.

The latest additions to the cast place an interesting twist on the procedings. Rapper-turned-actor Redman has landed a part as a film director while real-life movie director John Waters (HAIRSPRAY) has been cast as a sleazy tabloid photographer. Redman and Waters join Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly and LORD OF THE RINGS star Billy Boyd as the family of twisted killer dolls. Boyd is playing Chucky and Tiffany's adopted son, Glen."

Riiiight......

Uf. I dunno, I think they've just beaten the slasher genre to death. And then ressurected it 45 times.

On the contrary, I don't think they've beaten it to death enough! After seeing Bride of Chucky, Freddy Vs. Jason, and the latest Halloween, I believe that there can still be some good sequel ideas left out there.

Freddy Vs. Jason was a terrible film and i cant see how anyone can every buy the film let alone sit through it at the pictures. Slash am ups are almost done i think, but a new Chucky film might not be too bad .

Ugh, I seriously think Chucky is the worst "slasher horror" series. Seriously, my sister could kick a dolls ass easily.

They're going to make a FvJ 2, which will be another 100 minutes of pure crap. Oh joy.

There is no more money in an original idea I gues..

wow, all the former lotr actors have been attracted to crap lately
astin(50 first dates, or so ive heard)
tyler(jersy girl)
mortenson(hidalgo)
weaving(matrix revolutions)
but the funny thing is, in my opinion, the third movie of the lotr is what should have killed most of their careers(horrible, horrible movie imo)

and now boyd is going to be on for the craptastic 5th chucky film...

the chucky movies started going downhill after the second, the first was great, it was different, and then about other killer dolls came out.

Oooo more chucky! Nothing like sitting in your room in the wee hours of the morning having a good laugh at the chucky series with bride of chucky hitting the top. I seriously.. dolls don't scare me, they are just too damn cute! And some movies, like the chuckie series, have a way of making it impossible to overkill with sequels and such.
