I've already tried opening up the .bin files in Tile Layer Pro, but I only see jumbled, unrelated crap. | |||

Wrong format. Firstly, I use YY-CHR, because all my experiences with TLP were bad ones. Secondly, tile editors see .bin files as Genesis/MegaDrive ROMs. You have to change it to the SNES format (which is a different 4bpp setting) |

*sighs* Open a .bin file in YY-CHR. Change format to SNES4bpp. Start drawing, and make sure that the file stays at 4kb. Once you are done drawing, insert ExGFX in LM and assemble in 16x16 editor. Save with a hit of F9... |
