I have always like a nice cold, ear nipping cold winter. kills off most of the bugs for spring in northern u.s. like in Wisconsin. And with less blood sucking misqutos means fishing for muskies longer.

Winter is cool, but sometimes I miss swimming. I am kind of in the middle, but winter is fun since you don't have to worry being hot when you sleep. Only if you freeze.

Over here, it usually snows like three times, then gets to about twenty degrees with no snow, and then it gets really hot for the summer. Stupid kansas weather...

Depends on the season. My limit for being outside is usually about 40-50 degrees F before I have to put something...relatively close to what you're supposed to wear during the season on. I mean...if I can get away with it...I'll usually wear the normal stuff I do year round, but the only difference will be that I have a coat on (in the extreme colds it's probably a relatively thick or down coat).

The only thing that blows that rule out of the water is excessive wind. Then it really sucks. Then we can get wind chills that drop to 20 or 30 below zero and then I'll be wearing layers. Even worse if I'm out in the country and we have to deal with digging ourselves out of incredible snow cover (if you've ever seen snow drifts well...they've been about 9 or 10 feet in height one year, I think it was like...'98). Then I usually can't take it after about 30 minutes and have to come in to warm up...then I go back outside and attack the snow with ye olde shovel. Snow blowing stuff like that is almost comical when the drifts are two or three times the size of the blower.

City-wise though...the only thing I've really had to worry about is ice accumulation. I've actually 180'd going 55-60 MPH on a road where most people got 70-75 under normal conditions. God...I was about four feet away from hitting a guard rail too...yielded a pretty nice spinout...and it figures that there was a police officer behind me the whole time too (cue: extreme embarrassment)...and this was on the way to 8 AM English class in a car I could barely keep alive much less see through the windshield...freakin' lovely.

Taking the over bad with the good though, it's still fun to pelt someone upside the head with a slushball. I usually don't resort to dirty techs such as debris and rock...otherwise it calls for a hospital trip if you wing it hard enough and score an eyeshot. As long as it's nothing too extreme, winter can be okay...or at least tolerable.

Winters would be my favorite season, I naturally prefer to be cold, so cold that I run my air conditioner for most of the winter, really I have it on for most of the year... Our snow level depends, usually at a moderate level.

It's funny...when I used to do a poll like this during the winter, people will vote for summer.

We really don't get winter here, I mean, winter here is like fall...wait, more like spring. We don't even have a fall here, the leaves never change color and all that other jazz that comes with fall.

Sure, I like winter.

It may suck shovling all the snow, and driving around in the icy crap, but nothing beats pelting that really annoying guy down the block with a torrent of icy frozen fury...Heheheh...

I hate winter, except for skiing.

I don't particularly like summer either (it's usually too hot around here), but I prefer it over winter.

Late spring is my favorite time of year... not too warm, not too cold, juuuust right.

well, it's hard to say. Here in Oregon, we've been getting a warmer winter every year. It used to consistently snow but now it rarely does. When it does, it's good. I typically go snowboard. Now, the problem is is when it rains during a cold winter, as it did this past winter. Then everything freezes over, and it's hilariously dangerous to go out. On the way to town, There's this really curvy road. There's pretty much a cliff face on one side and, er, a fairly long fall on the other. + Ice = it's not a good idea. Plus the ice had frozen everything over, so periodically tree branches couldn't support the weight and would fall down. Thankfully no houses were crushed but we lost power a few times...

I beg to differ. Throwing a snowball with a rock in it in your friend's face is several times more rewarding.

Sure we do. We get like three days combined total. Then we get plaenty of cold where I'm sitting out there going, "Man, if it's this cold, we deserve to have snow."
