I was agreeing with Superstar Saga until I saw boss battle music. The normal battle is way more funky, I think  The Metal Cap music, and of course the Mario Theme And the Mario Sunshine Boss is cool too. |

| It might not count since this is technically a Square game, but I thought the Star Battle theme from SMRPG was the best. A lot of the themes from SMRPG were good. The battle theme was catchy, I kept humming Midas River for a long time, and I loved the Booster Tower theme, too. Come to think of it, the OC Remix of that is excellent, Booster Tarantino if you've never heard of it. | |||

| Ranko, my friends didn't believe me when I insisted that the SMB3 underground music was a "rap" version of the original underground tune. They also wouldn't listen when I compared SMB2's title screen music to the original water music. Wow, looking back... being a little kid, I'd never heard of things like "remixes" then. One word would've explained the whole concept! |

| If you pay attention to Naval Piranha's battle song and Raphael The Raven's one you will notice that the boss battle theme of those 2 battles are slightly different from the other ones. They have a longer (and much cooler) intro, with those fast keyboards and those 'drums' together making it almost a metal song in midi The other themes I love are the castle and the cave ones from YI, the boss battle from smRPG, and the metal cap theme from sm64. |
