Does FCEU support netplay? Because if it does, that would be awesome. I noticed you can go Config->Network Play in the toolbar but I'm not sure if you can actually play online like ZSNES. Please tell me if it's possible and how to if it is. (edited by Gb boy on 07-08-04 07:14 PM)

I haven't confirmed it...I'm not sure if any NES emulators do other than the ones that are supported by Kaillera. If it does work, and I'm looking and FCEU 0.96 right now, it'd be a matter of getting the IP from whoever is the server, typing it into remote host, and then enable network play while the server click server and listens on TCP port 4046 (default port) and clicks enable network play and gets the ROM loaded afterwards. I would assume that's how you would do it...and looking at the messages I'm seeing, that looks about right...but I'm not sure if it will run or run well. I think I did this over a 56K line with someone else one time and it was HORRIBLY off sync in terms of speed. Server would run almost flawlessly and the client would run piss poor slow...but I'm not sure if that was FCEU or RockNES X...it's been a few years.

RockNESX supports netplay, I know. There were directions for it in the readme file. Pity it causes Windows (ME) to freak out whenever I try to load a ROM (No netplay)...

Kaillera only supports netplay for Mame32k by default. However, it is possible to embed it into NESten and jnes using C++. I think that's a bit too complicated for me. I will try RockNESX. *downloads* UPDATE: Success. RockNESX fully supports Netplay. It's not like zbattlenet where you can just join games, but thats fine. You just have to know who your playing with because you have to input their IP. (edited by Gb boy on 07-08-04 08:11 PM) (edited by Gb boy on 07-08-04 08:23 PM)
