Ow... nosebleeds are really not fun  Long story short, I was at the pool, dove in, my knee was a bit too close to my head, and I wind up hitting myself in the face. I get out, and my friend points out my nose is bleeding... now I have a slight headache, and the bleeding is just about cleared up. Yeah, still, nosebleeds are not very good  anyone else got some weird nosebleed stories, or advice at least? |

| I've had more than my share of nosebleeds, mainly from wrestling but sometimes elsewhere. One of my practice partners employed a very aggressive, very strong crossface. After feeling it several times, my nose would eventually begin to bleed. From then on, it was as if it were 'softened up' - my nose would bleed at almost the slightest pressure. A cottonball in the nose is normally quite enough to curtail the flow, but on one occasion the removal of the gauze gave way to a rapid stream of blood that startled another wrestler who'd been lying in the trainer's room  . |

| Ugh, nosebleeds... I had a polyp in my sinus which somehow caused me to have frequent nose bleeds. It was horrible... once every 3 or 4 days even, sometimes more. The polyp is gone now though, and I haven't have a noseblees since. Usually, I plug myself up with a tissue and lean forward. |

| Nosebleeds...I remember for the pass three years straight, at the beginning of the fall semester, I would get nosebleeds. I dunno, why..it would like happen right on cue. And these nosebleeds were bad... for some reason, they wouldn't stop until my nose was full of mucus lets hope for fall 2004, it doesn't happen  |

| I get bad ones that don't go away when it's dry outside. Lots of them. Thanks to them, I, a normally squeemish person, have no problem seeing blood. The only real problem with them is that some dolt will accuse me of getting them from picking my nose. *rolls eyes* | |||

| I woke up in the middle of the night once to find that I had a nosebleed so bad, was litterally dripping blood all over the place. The next morning, you could see a trail of blood all the way from my room to the bathroom. That part was kinda funny, but the rest...blech. | |||

| I used to get them for no reason. I would be playing a computer game or doing almost anything and I would start having a horrible nose bleed. They would last for like 5-6 minutes at a time no matter what I did. I still get one every few weaks or so. | |||

I have had one nosebleed in my whole life, and it was in my sleep when I was little. It was a very little nosebleed though, only a little bit of blood on my pillow and that was it.  Ben has nosebleeds in summer, due to the dry heat we get here. His bleed a LOT too. I know from my experiences with first aid in schools and such, that MOST nosebleeds stop very quickly after you get the person to sit down, put their head forward and pinch their nose. But with Ben, they keep on going and going! I have to apply a cold compress to the back of Ben's neck (and sometimes even his forehead) to get his to stop. His only ever happen in summer though, and only on really hot, dry days. |

| I have only had one nose bleed ever. I occured when I was walking through this field that had pretty tall grass, just a bit taller than me. I was also with one of my friends, she was walking behind me. Then I feel this huge smash on the back of my head, I thought I was going to fall down and go unconscious, but I didn't, I was just in extreme pain. I thought my friend had hit me or something, but then I looked down and I saw a rock with some blood on it. As I was reorienting myself, another random rock came out of nowhere and hit both of us (somehow, I may have been leaning on her for support). It grazed my head and gaze me another cut, but she was not as bad just a bruise on the arm. Then I had a nosebleed. After I got home and I was no longer disoriented, there was only some bumps on my head and bleeding, it was excruciating but I didn't have to go to the hospital. I guess the nosebleed wasn't too significant there, but what it is really perplexing is where those rocks came from, we could't see anybody because of the grass. | |||

I've never had a nosebleed my whole life..ever too . My mom says you can get one if you eat too much salt but I don't know about it. I might have when I was little but I doubt it. I don't remember having one  . Never been hit in the face or anything to cause it. I remember my sister did once or twice but I don't remember the reason..bleh |
