| I love that kind of weather. Up here in Wisconsin, the weather can be pretty strange. Once in May, on a cold day, on one side of the house it was snowing, one side raining, and the sun was out, all at the same time. | |||

| Some days ago it rained while the sun was shining, and I saw two rainbows at the same time. That was a bit cool. Anyway, it rained quite a lot yesterday, and today it's been quite sunny and warm. On Saturday and Sunday it will rain again, and we might get some lightning too. On Friday I think we'd just get rain. (I sorta managed to miss the part about Friday.  )And I think it's quite possible to see lightnings without it raining, but having the sun shine at the same time sounds a bit odd. |

| Its quite possible for this kind of stuff to happen. I was watching a weather show a few months ago, and there was this thing about lightning. this girl was struck by it in a perfectly cloudless sky, with the nearest storm 10 miles away. It needs to rain here though... been a few days without it. |

| I saw that once, it was cool. Of course, it was a nasty hurricane, so I didn't get to enjoy it much. There was a hell of a storm here yesterday. I'm surprised it didn't knock the power out. (Coupla brownouts though ) There were some sirens, and HUGE cracks of thunder. |

| Interestingly, lighting doesn't strike down from the sky, as is the popular belief. There is a heavy amount of energy in clouds, which is lost as the rain falls. This creates sort of a power vacuum... And the energy lost through the rains surges back in to the sky. Same with lightning that just jumps from cloud to cloud. As for why lightning strikes things... I don't know. |

Not wierd but bad weather... alot of rain rain rain rain.  And now it's thunder here. I hope it get's little better tomorrow, otherwise I probably do something else than going to that amusment park. Thought, last year it was hot. And sunny... seems like the weather doing the oppesite this year. |

| Since we're talking about lightning, here is an animated gif that shows were lightning are in Europe. Notice the big lump of lightning over Northern Norway. I check that map from time to time, and I've never seen such a big group of lightnings that far north before. (Norway is about just as far north as Alaska, if you didn't know. ) |
