I'd help you out, you know. But that would basically scare off all the admin/mods here, because they hate me and would ph33r me being anything above power 0.

Heh.

I'm no expert at this crap, but hey. I'd like to help out

And what sort of paid account? I could also help out, what's the url of that site? (just wondering...)

It's not that hard to set up, and there is some bugs that you must cover before uploading. But that is easy to fix.

Setting up a 1.8a board isn't hard.

You have a paid GeoCities account? Is it any good?

Yahoo it was. It's probably decent anyway, it's cheap and ad-free.

But all I have seen at Anya's site is a webcam part. A board would be nifty!

I never READ the faq except for things like HTML codes and smileys...

I learned the rules during the time I was here...

If they don't support PHP, then there can't be a board on Yahoo/GC space. Pretty simple.

You'd likely need to buy webspace or have someone else host it.

I'm pretty sure they support PHP on yahoo.

The Swedish tripod had PHP and SQL support. And it was free... with alot of ads.

Most Tripod's in Europe do, but they don't support all the PHP functions.

I could run my old blog on there, for instance, but good luck getting an AcmlmBoard to work.

I got Acmlmboard to work on the Swedish tripod. I didn't have to reconfig anything!

I don't think GeoCities even supports PHP, let alone an Acmlm Board.

That's what I thought. MAYBE on one of the pay plans but I really doubt it - and even then, it wouldn't have full functionality.

First off, it's http://acmlm.cjb.net:2/board/.

And secondly, it's up as of when I'm typing this. That server runs right off of Milly's machine I think.

There was a script who drained alot of bandwidth (and processor power) from that computer, i'm still not sure if Acmlm moved it or if it still left.

Woo. sorry for pushing, but...
this server runs on a private machine. And there is that w00t tasks.php script. It shows a severe lot of information about what's up out there
...I particularly see a french/canadian (more probable) machine piled with everyday processes.
