No, I made the tread to discuss what people like to do at amusement parks when they get the time. Not to lower my self esteem ()

I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure last Nov., and before that, I went to Grad Nite at the Magic Kingdom, and that was in '98. So even though I'm sorta close, I haven't gone as much as I really liked to....but me thinks that's gonna change.

It's been ages since I last went to a theme park/amusment park. I think Disneyland is the last place I went and that was during memorial weekend 2002.

As for what I do when I go to such places--since I go with family, I don't ride the major rides since my family isn't to thrilled on the idea. However, when I go with friends, it is a ball. But its been a while since i went with friends

Hmm. I haven't been to many theme parks or anything during my life.. Probably because I don't really like them hehe. But I do like water rides Like everybody else, it seems.

Granted, but how does Kirby ATW know that everyone loves water rides. He doesn't and is asking who doesn't. The 'everyone loves...' is just a figure of speech, really.

Fair enough, but it's really kinda sorta a little not much on the stupid side to say that everyone loves them, and then ask who loves them.

I can't get enough... I'll go on any rollercoaster, nothing scares me apart from the S&S drop towers (and their clones).

We have a few world class coasters in the UK. We have the first Bolliger and Mabillard (B&M) Flying coaster (air, like the Superman Ultimate Flights in the US) and the first B&M Dive Machine (Oblivion, Busch Gardens Tampa is expecing one next year).

We also have an international top ten ranking B&M Inverted Coaster (like Batman the Ride), Nemesis. It's burried in the ground, and you fly through ravine all the way, and past cliff faces. She's ten years old this year, and she still ranks higher than bigger coasters of the same type in the US!

We also have Colossus, the world record holding, ten inversion coaster

My three favorite coasters:
Nemesis, Alton Towers, UK
Rock'n'Rollercoaster, Walt Disney Studios, France
Colossus, Thorpe Park, UK

Mind you, there's a few ride I badly want to ride, stateside...

X -- Six Flags Magic Mountain
Hulk -- Islands of Adventure
Top Thrill Dragster -- Ceder Point
Millenium Force -- Cedar Point
Dueling Dragons -- Islands of Adventure
Montu -- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Kumba -- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Alpengeist -- Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Also these too:
Dragon Khan -- Porta Aventura, Spain
Superman Ride of Steel -- Warner Brothers Movie World Madrid, Spain

Kasumi: Me thinks you need to take a trip to Florida, and let me know, cause I'll met ya up there! I haven't been to Bush Gardens since I was a kid!

The Hulk is freaking amazing and Dueling Dragons freaked me out. It was the first coaster that I went on with nothing under your feet. Kick arse, nonetheless.

I'm not really a big fan of rollercoasters, I've been on a few, but never the really 'good' ones. I also like water rides too, I found Splash Mountain in Disney Florida fun

Millenium Force is a magnificent coaster. I haven't been able to ride Top Thrill Dragster yet, as both times I've waited for it, it went down due to technical difficulties. Oh well, I'll get it sometime this summer. Also, if you do swing by Cedar Point to catch those two, make sure to get the Raptor, Magnum, and Mantis as well. The Raptor is a great inverted coaster, the Magnum is like the Millenium Force Jr., and the Mantis is a pretty decent stand-up coaster. Oh, and Wicked Twister is pretty cool as well.

NSNick: Top Thrill Dragster has had a lot of problems... It's a system pushed to the absolute limits. The cable has snapped before, and the hydraulics overheat too.
A 125 mph launch overheats the system, yet a 115 mph launch causes a rollback... The figures speak for themselves

Yep, all those rides are damn fine, and I wouldn't dream of missing any of them out. In fact, we have a coaster of the same sort as Magnum in the UK at Blackpool. It's a bit taller, and a bit newer, being ten years old this year as well

The heights of the coasters at Cedar Point have always been interesting... 200ft, 300ft and 420ft for Magnum, Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster respecively

Yeah, though I hear TTD's been getting more reliable. Last summer it seemed to have problems just about every day.

...and I thought Millenium Force was 310, since its drop is 300ft.

Sweet... Near the end of July I might be going to Bush Gardens

There are alot of things I might do there I didnt get to do on the band competition trip we took during the school year. (Like ride the rapids that broke down the last time I was there) Staying away from teh rollercoasters of course...they dont agree with me
