| not that bad...i dunno, when i got my first rating I was like, "What the bluck?" and realized somebody here likes me..then I got a 0 after that then realized I must have pissed that person off. Say for instance 10 complete assholes rated you a 1. Does that mean you as a human being have a quality of 1 out of 10? Of course not. That's why you shouldn't take ratings personally or too seriously. |

Yeah, but if the ratings matter that much...  Yes, usually someone who has an 8.42/10 is a better/more respected user than someone with a 4.62/10 - but there's always exceptions to the rule. Make your own judgement. |

| This was brought up a LONNNG time ago but I wish there was a function for you to take back your rating. Like, if you voted someone an 8 but decided you didn't want to have your vote counted for them at all, then you could take it back. |

Obviously this is a stupid way to view anything.. plus I've shoved my rating in many people's faces. It's in my location section right now.  Colleen, the respect is based on the user itself though. It's not like people are viewing ratings and making their decision in that fashion. |

Heh, I have three votes, even if I haven't been posting much.  Although, at the old board I *think* I had something like 5 or 6 ratings.. and my rating was in the 6 range. Now it's at 8.25. Hmm, I wonder if posting in this thread will effect my rating. |
