| It's ok Jesper, I remember back when I still had AOHell, it was painful. No siree, none of that fancy-schmanzty "decent internet connection" stuff for me, my parents said it was too expensive. Now here I am with Broadband, and it's costing us less than 56K did. Shows how much they know. |

| I really wish you wouldn't pick at 56K, as I'm forced to use it. Except at my office, where the computers don't support AIM for some creepy reason (That is, I can get on and recieve messages but can't send messages, and miminizing windows makes them act glitchy when they reopen)... | It looks like I'm stuck with dialup for the foreseeable future, and because I'm in a rural area and the POP is at an exchange serving a different city than the exchange that I'm using, the actual speed is slow. The CO is at least a 6 mile drive away, and there seems to be no plans to serve DSL from it. Cable? not for miles. On the bright side, I hear that the county plans to pave our road in a few months. I had access via LAN during the 2002-2003 academic year at the University of the Ozarks. The whole campus, four hundred something resident students, computer labs, web and e-mail servers, and administration, was all connected by one big Ethernet LAN and to the Internet by a single T1 line through a NAT firewall. |

| Ive been with verizon DSL for about 5 or 6 months now and i pay about a dollar more than I did for dial up (I had AOL) best thing I ever did. Also verizon HQ is about 3 blocks from my house so range doesnt affect me one bit =) | |||
