| Okay, so now that I have a consistent source of income (That $285 paycheck I got was the most money I've seen at one time in years), I'm pondering getting hosting to register Emptyeye.com, because it would be neat (And I'd have a halfway reputable base for my music then too). So my question to you is this: does anyone here have any recommendations for cost-effective hosting that would allow my own domain name? I suppose I'd be looking specifically in Jesper's or Acmlm's direction for this, though anyone with (Theirname.whatever) could be of assistence too. Any ideas, guys and gals? |

| Hmm...checking out Fuitad now...seems pretty neat. Am I reading that right when it says three GIGS of Hard Drive space for the site? Yikes. Okay, so a few questions: 1. I presume subdomains would mean the subdomain would go before the suffix, correct? like if I had Emptyeye.com and my brother wanted his own site, it would be mybrossite.emptyeye.com, right? Not that I foresee it mattering, but I just want to be sure. 2. I guess I would want Shared hosting, given that I don't plan to sell hosting to anyone, correct? Other than that, though, this is looking pretty sweet, and more than enough for what I'll need. |

| I'm personally happy with Jaguar. I've been hosting with them (and their predecessor of sorts, Aletia) for over two years, and I think the service is well worth the money. I won't claim that they've been completely technical-difficulty-free, but their support is pretty good, the servers are fast and reliable, and they genuinely care about fixing stuff when it goes fooey (which, at worst, might happen every few months, and it's usually minor downtime). | |||

| Jaguar is a nice looking company. I suggest, if you ever use a Bronze package's bandwidth up at Fuitad, switch to Jaguar. Their $9.99 plan is a slightly better deal than Fuitad's $9.99 plan. I'm actually really bias towards Fuitad because I've known and met Fuitad since the Graal days... Whether he remembers me is another story. Haha... |
