They're really starting to get on my nerves. They've said that the population has gone up this year, and it's definitely true. We had to install a sump pump in the yard, and some of us ended up getting tons of bites (I didn't, mosquitoes don't like me, so I'm lucky). How bad are the mosquitoes elsewhere?

mosquitoes? Well, I haven't noticed much around, but there seems to be a flea infestation in my yard, and I have to be very careful. Maybe there are more fleas than mosquitoes in Washington.

I've been bitten once so far (but I found the mosquito and squashed it! >D ).

The mosquito population where I live hasn't really changed yet..We even have a creek in the very back of our yard, and I live in the pre-boonies (not quite the middle of nowhere, but close..). But there aren't a lot of mosquitos..I think they're more in the city.

No mosquitoes here in Ireland, thank God.

I usually encounter them in Spain. Yes encounter is the word. I chase them around the apartment with Raid and stuff

They're not really that bad though...I mean what..if one gets you it usually goes unnoticed most times anyways...and on the fraction of the chance that it's infected with something well...just hope you know the symptoms of it.

It's about as comparable as having chigger bites...that or just having chicken pox over again...since all you want to do is itch the damned bites. Probably just put hydrocortizone on it...but that was back in the days where I was in the country...here in the city...even the more sparse parts of it...you won't see them often.

Ugh.. we have our fair share of mosquitos (California). I try to keep all the windows shut when my parents aren't home. I choose extreme heat over mosquito bites. Still, everyone in my family manages to get various kinds of bug bites, which is unpleasant. I mean it's not like Florida or anything like that, but it does suck.

No Mosquitoes here, they are rare where I live. But sometimes there can be some of them.

In the other parts of Sweden there is usually alot of them. Heck that's usually the first thing I notice whenever I get into the forest parts of Sweden. (most of Sweden is forests, expect for the part I live in...)

Havent seen any yet, but hey, its only the start of summer, the REAL humid weather hasnt hit us yet

Bites may hurt, but hey, they go away eventually, if you dont itch/pick/bite them. And as long as whatever bit you wasnt infected, you are okay.

Please, don't remind me. The mosquitoes are bad enough, and it'll get really hot too, and these 2 things are the only downfalls to summer.

We can get some BIG mosquitos here. West Nile is always a concern but then again I'm not in the "danger" bracket for it, so it's more likely I'd just get the flu if anything.

I have one or two bites already I think. But I've also seen more wasps than mosquitos here.

I live at south america, and soon will be winter here, fortunately, since mosquitoes are more annoying at the summer, it has too much more of them.

We're basically told "don't go outside at dawn or dusk." You can't go outside here without getting at least a few bites, and dawn and dusk are when the West-Nile carrying mosquitoes are out. West Nile aside, though, I'd much rather deal with the mosquito swarms here than the black flies in north Ontario.
