I was at Wal-Mart the other day... and saw all these oldschool NES games for GBA such as The Legend of Zelda, SMB, and more. I about wet my pants... then I saw the Classic SP that is colored like the NES, and had to buy it, has anybody else seen these, or own any of these, I love that I can play the Original LOZ on my SP.

Yeah, I just picked up the NES edition SP and Zelda. It's about time that Zelda got released for GBA.

Yeah, I got the NES SP on the 2nd. I didn't get any of the games, because then I wouldn't have had money for RCREX and Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

Let's face it, LoZ is the only of these eight games that comes close to the $20 price tag. I got the NES cart of it, AND the Collectors Edition gamecube disc, so I'm not worried about it.

Heh, I have the Collectors Edition one.

Now if it was really cheap then I maybe get SMB for GBA, but then I better take the deluxe version.

I was planning on trading in my scratched-up Platinum SP for this NES one. I suspect it won't scratch up as much.

They're selling them at $40 for 2 at Future Shop, I believe.

It's a nice idea and I do like the NES SP, but $29 is a bit too much for classic games I think. If anyone's paying that much for Xevious...

The NES GB is quite spiffy, but why ANYONE in their RIGHT MIND would pay that much for any of these titles is beyond me.

Price gouge. Plain and simple. I would think about paying the normal GBA cart price for a collection, but... no. Just no.

Oh, don't worry. Soon we'll have "Super Mario DS: Super Mario Advance: Super Mario Brothers 2".

But I'm thinking of trading in my Platnum for the NES one. There's no way in hell I'm missing it.

And who in their right mind would fork out 30 bucks a pop for these old games? Sure, if they were together...

People complained before about Nintendo not porting games.

They just did listen on our pleads. And when they have started porting the old games, people complained.

SMB and Legend of zelda is probalby the only one who is worth to get, I mean. Who is going to buy Mario bros when there is a newer version with the SMA games?

They already released a better SMB port, though... SMBDX for GBC...

But really, Nintendo needs to get out of their porting rut and focus on making new games... yes, they've made some good ones, and that new GBA Zelda looks cool...

*ahem* They're $20 US. And they seem to be about $25 Canadian to $30 Canadian. Some of you (*cough*Xk*cough*) seem confused.

I won't by the Classic NES-Series, just don't like them.

But I may get Famicom Mini Dr. Mario and Balloon Fight. Other Games pending.

And if I had the money, I would buy the hole Famicom Mini Series. Just 'cause they're so cute!

But at the moment, I'm selling those, have all except Zelda and Ice Climbers.

There's no need for an old school SP
When I got one that suffices for me.
Silverish in color, it works just fine.
There's no reason to replace mine.

As for the games, they look quite tight.
I think I'll buy Legend of Zelda tonight.
I most likely won't buy Pac-Man
Or get my hands on Bomberman.
But all the others will be in my hands
As I am one of the many fans
That likes to play an old school game
Now and then on SP, the same
One that I've had for a year
Before I ever took a sip of beer...

No no, if I had intended to sound like an Irish leprachaun, I'd be posting in a limerick format.

There once was a man named Ennis...

OK, I'm not going to even TOUCH that.

A compilation would be fine - I mean, toss those 8 games into a $29.99 cartridge and you'd certainly have people lining up to get their hands on one of those. And with the large NES library, they could come out with at least 8 or 9 packs from that era. (If we get the next wave, it includes such games as Mappy, Clu Clu Land, Wrecking Crew, Ghosts & Goblins, Adventure Island, etc.)

While I'm basically repeating what's already been said here, I see no reason not to do a collection of these games (I mean, c'mon, XEVIOUS?). If Sega can give us the first three Phantasy Star games in one cartridge, why can't Nintendo bring together these eight or so?
