Now I can't say I haven't seen similar things happen though. But 23-acre lake gone like that... I remember a few years ago that Lake Springfield dried up almost completely...weird sight.

That's kind of strange... and bad for the people alongside the lake. Hopefully they'll figure out what caused it, now that it's dry.

if you read the article, you would have found out that they said it was due to a sinkhole. the lake rested on top of some hollow limestone rock and well, you should see how it happened this this information now...

I wonder if they are going to be smart enough to make sure that the lake bottom doesn't have a big place where it can erode or it will just happen again. $1,000 per house hold that is a little pricey if you ask me.

I did read it. I must have missed that part. I've heard about lakes falling into sinkholes. It's kind of an odd thought... having all the water below the lake.

Wow.... the lake went MIA.... I mean

.... went into a sink hole. Freaky. Waking up one morning and you see a giant body of water missing... well... hopefully they will be able to solve the problem without too much of a hastle.. (IE the water conmtinuing to fall into the sinkhole....)

I hope they can too. I go camping at Crystal Lake every year, and I could only imagine going there to find... sand and dead fish.

Might as well just fix the dirt and fill it up again - lord knows the people living there can afford it.

Still... 23 acres. This isn't some little puddle or public swimming pool.

That's weird, it all went bye bye . I remember a few years ago a lake near where I live, Folsom was really low but it wasn't completely sucked dry. You had to go waaaaaaaay out for it to get deep. I've only been to that lake once..heh
