G-Mail just came out, saying that you can get 1 GB of space...and now, another company is claiming you can get massive amount of space.

Except this one I've heard you're able to get a terabyte (or at least close to one) of space, and no limits when it comes to attachments.

http://www.youvegotpost.com

The onloy thing I'm scared about is the lack of a Privacy Policy (but I see nothing in the TOS about selling information)...but I mean, if you intentd to use it for spam or even legit email, maybe, then it might be worthwhile.

But then again, it's based in Malaysia, with offices in the UK and California. Odd...

Well, 1GB space for an e-mail account is unusually large, but then files and stuff are getting to be a little larger too nowadays. People are generally sending each other larger files, and a lot of people do use their e-mail as remote storage too (I know I store my resume in my email in case I need it). 1Gb is big, but it offers the users a lot of freedom.

1 Terabyte of space is ridiculous. And probably impossible to provide to anybody really, especially not free. The amount of equipment required to store 1 Terabyte of data is pretty big, and VERY expensive, and that would only service 1 customer! So it's highly doubtful that anybody is going to start offering 1 Terabyte of space for real any time soon. No doubt on that account, there's a lot of fine print where you find out that 1 Terabyte is equal to a lot less than an actual Terabyte... o.o

Who needs 1TB of email? Shit, I wish I had that much HD space, let alone email space. I have 6MB and never even come close to the limit except with big attatchments. (Which of course are usually me transferring files to another PC, which I can use Yahoo Briefcase for. )
I bet they meant 1TB in total, and the max is distributed evenly. For example, when there's only one user, they get 1TB. With 2, both get 0.5TB, and so on.

I HAVE G-MAIL HAHAHAHAH!!!!

Yes, I have. It's awesome. But only certain people can have it, I was so lucky that someone invited me.

But for getting one, I had to get this name. But it was worth for getting a gmail.

And I already used 18 MB... I have sent and received rather large files.

Jesper cheated, he invited himself.

No, I can't invite people. And don't ask Jesper he is out of "invites"

Besides, I wonder how for long time the beta will go on.

I hadn't even sent or received catgirls pictures yet...

It's in beta now, thus invitation-only.

As for "too good to be true", this was actually announced on April 1 as part of some sick scheme to make us think it was an april fools joke, which it wasn't, so they sort of fooled us that way too!
