When we upgrade, if acmlm decides to release it, will we be just able to upload the new files to get it to work? will it erase the database? will all my old SQL queries like Zenny and that work with the new board?

No. 2.0 is an overhaul, which cleans up code and SQL tables and the like. Hacks from 1.8 and 1.9 won't work.

Unless you make 2.0 versions of them. The Zenny version should be easy.

That would depend... Seeing as the itemshop and all other third party hacks were... thrid party, then it'd be a challenge to write installation SQL that could deal with all different database setups.

It might be possible to upgrade with a little modification beforehand, though. For example, you configure the design of your database to match the requirements of Acmlmboard 2.0, and it could slot right in.

I doubt this could happen with every single hack, though.

Let me just tell you. It would suck going through all of that. You are better off just starting a new board with better features. Or stick with 1.8 and add everything you would like yourself. I had to add tons of tables and I ended up just saying screw it.
