^^^ You could have just used a link to your topic instead of re-posting all of the images.

Lol, the older link doesnt look good in LTTP at all IMO. Your other pallet editing looks good though. I have some awesome ideas for the hack. Unfortuantly, i cannot divulge them ATM.

I once changed the bunny you transform in (Dark World - When you don't have the moon pearl) Into Mario Bros.. was kinda funny!

ok, in order of how i thought of them, i know most are to beyond but i might as well say them and you can say no...

ok how about mini zelda worlds in other words miniature sneario based self contained zelda 'worlds' when i say worlds i mean 3/3 4/4 maps with 2-3 dungeons and unusual situations each unlocked by having diff weapon combos idn t the actual game or doing special events think zelda four swords gc. i know i know extreme asm hacking but its a suggestions so.

uhm how about making it almost impossible to findto get all the items at once. like making you go through a long trading weapons prooceess to get em all. remember in la to get the boomerang?

more than eight dungeons? or have all the dungeons connected in a sort of underground single contiuous labyrinth.

how about have it so you have to get items in both the light world and dark world, so you cant carry items over... or another idea make it so you have to leave items somewhere, then claim them in the other world. like leave hammer in a chest and go and pick it up in a dungeon in the other world.

make it so things in the dark world effect things more directly int he light world etc
like pound a stake in in the light world, and that stake stays down but in that spot in the dark world a raised stake appears and vicea versa.

uhm maybe have the cuccoos get attacked by enemies so that the cuccoos will attack you. and make the enemie suse bees. hehe thatt would be cool

how about you can set bushes and grass on fire and it catches nearby burnable objects on fire.

be able to dig up caves and such

just a few suggestions.

That is a lot of cool ideas. Great stuff. Unfortunaltly, most of that is beyond my ability. U have given me some awesome ideas for a couple of side quests though. thx.

-Change the bunny to Mario or a chicken.
-Make chickens do something vitally important.
-More rain. That was cool.
-Add an underwater level and make the red/green tunics and iron boots from OoT. Maybe even a yellow/gold tunic that combines their effects.
-Instead of light/dark world, make 4 different time periods. (Yes, that means 4 overworlds. )
-Keep the OW music!
-At least one Inuyasha cameo.

wow u mean u like my ideas ahem...

angelic voices* band playing*

when i gave ideas before i was laughed at, my name was cursed CURSED.
i swore i would get even... sorry not used to anything but loathing

i thought of a few other things.

how about can u change the hidden race room thing?i mean when u went from the chapel to the castle i think in a certain time? if so you could put a gountle all boss battle in there... maybe even multiple bosses at the same time?? that would be hard but sweet....

uhm how about have blocks the can break the hook shot? like if you hit this block you have to take it to get fixed for a pricey fee.

maybe eliminate fairy in bottles or make the fairies a lot harder to get.

make agnihim fire his shots faster and dissapear more quickly. when you fight 3, make all of the aganihms look the same so its hard to tell the diff.

add some new bosses with osme asm hacking, nothing fancy but u know something origional and new.

how about can u change the hidden race room thing?

possible, but hard (since time ticks so fast in the rom)

maybe even multiple bosses at the same time??

not possible, the game engine does no support multiple boss battles, it'll either, won't appear, or slow the game down a lot.

As for the others.... well some of them might be just too hard (like extending overworld, i haven't got into how the overworld data work yet)

Make the Shovel a permanent item, give it some use, and replace the Magic Cape or Cane of Byana with the Flute. If you can swing it, that is. The two items do the exact same thing (only with a different effect), and it isn't fair to have to lose the Shovel because of this. Maybe give the Shovel some use, such as a cave dungeon with keys in the ground.

Multiple items in a dungeon: It'd take major skill to pull this off without having the player get stuck, but it'd make them more tedious.

Get rid of that retarded "Rescuing Zelda Reminder" message if you're going to have a long intro

I couldn't agree more, get rid of that "rescue zelda message" is probably a must for me.

As for items buried underground, it's not good news, for the flute buried, it's not some hardcoded position, sure i tried to make the asm think it's a different screen, but all i could move is the music when you dig at that spot... maybe i just ain't looking hard enough..

since i'm on the topic.. there's an idea for people (which doesn't require asm), split the overworld into 8 different parts, not accessable to each other (maybe by flute, which you can get say near the end). Say you start off in the level 1 area, you need to use the mirror the go from light world to dark world and vice versa (use the mirror in both worlds hex offset posted somewhere around here) to get all the items, after you beat the boss you come out at the level 2 area (you can manipulate the exits to make this happen), and you do the same thing until you hit the last boss .

Sure that'll eliminate the "non-linear" side of the game, but it makes creating the game more... simpler and easy to approach without any sort of serious planning (and any possible sequence breaking etc), and it's never been done before in a zelda game

Well, sequence breaking isn't all that uncommon. I personally did the dungeons in LTTP in this order...

Darkness
Blind
Skull Woods (took the shortest route possible too, learned it from a speed run)
Watergate
Misery Mire
Ice
Turtle Rock

And in OoT, I like to do the Shadow Temple before the Spirit, and the Water Temple before the fire.

Alternatively for Sequence breaking, make the player use the item of one dungeon to get to the next. It won't be foolproof, but still...they'd have to go at least a fair ways into the dungeon before they could sequence break.

The overworld idea isnt without merit, but its not for this hack. It would probably go best with an overworld as a whole.

Also, im attempting to minimize sequence breaking since some of the crystal dungeons are in light world as it stands right now.

Remember when you asked me about the desert statue that could replaces the original bird statue? Well that's something that would look like this:

You can use that idea as I won't use it...
