| I've heard this anime is good but I lost interest in it after 1.5 episodes. So as it stands. Excel Saga isn't on my recommendation list of anime. So, what is your opinion of Excel Saga and maybe a tiny spolier to help me get back into it? |

| It's kind of an insane little series - mainly geared towards girls as far as I know. I like to watch it now and then just because of the random craziness. I think I got as far as epsiode 4 and didn't get anyt further largely because I didn't *ahem* download any more of them. *shrug* I liked it. If you prefer more serious anime then I can see why you might take a disliking to it. Some of the story and explanations can be hard to follow at times, depending on the subtitles you get. | |||

| I'm downstate right now from where I live at a friend's house and I'm through ep. 15...he also got the sixth volume of the manga just the other day. I tell you...if you thought FLCL was insane...this probably beats it out...or at least in irrelevance. This is basically geared for you to insanely laugh your ass off at the insanity...that's it...plot-wise there might be one somehow weaved in it somewhere but it doesn't really matter that much in this case...since it's about as meaningful to have one as FLCL did. Just a comparison. I can't say it's the best anime/manga though either, far from it, but it definitely isn't crap either. If your one of those people that buys an anime for an actual plot or developing storyline, this probably isn't for you. |

| Excel Saga is a parody. Nabeshin is a parody of Spike in Bebop (lookie ep3, it's great). The masked person in the same ep is also some parody.. and I think the person behind the mask is a parody of a person in Galaxy Express 999.. not sure though (they look sorta like eachother). In a later ep there's some baseball stuff going on, and that's a parody of all sports anime. The puchuu and alien stuff is parody of scifi anime, the traps Ilpalazzo uses is a parody of all the exaggerated "punishment" stuff in anime. Pedro is.. well.. REALLY unlucky, not sure if he's a parody. The blond boss guy with stupid moustache is a parody of all weird leader guys with weird facial hair. Bottom line being: I love it  . |

| Actually, there's 26 episodes...and I got done with them just the other night. I believe it rips on every single anime in existence almost...it rips on America even ...it's fucking great! XDI haven't seen the next series though...that must be a riot. |

| It's sort of like how an auctioneer learns how to speak fast...it's a talent. I think that there was only one ep. where it went 'out of line' and probably wouldn't be suited for younger audiences...and I think it was the very last one. |
