| ok i use map to edit the levels for my 3 smb hacks and when i first started doing it i messed up a couple levels and now i cant beat them so can u tell me how to copy a level from one smb rom to another with hex edit?? I need to fix my 6-4, 7-4 and 8-4 all i need is the number spot where it is like the adress or sumthing where i can copy and paste the levels cuz i wanna take a level from one of my other smb hacks... |

| Lol cool. It's jus lazyness I guess. I copied the graphics from the 1st smb rom to my other 2 and I copied a code in the hex editor. Somebody I think on this board told me how. There should be a code iin the hex editor for certain levels. | |||

| it's totally possible to copy levels from one hack to another.. i've done it a couple times when i've messed up a level beyond repair. get SMButil first, then load up the level you want to fix. make sure you're editing the map and not the enemies, and look at the level objects list. the hex collumn is the actual hex data for the level. search for the first 4 or 5 bytes in a hex editor and you can find the level start point location in the rom. then search for the last couple bytes and you have the end point. i have most of the level data in the rom mapped but i got lazy and havent done the castle levels.. post the addresses when you find them if you would please  oh btw 6-4 and 1-4 are the same so if 1-4 works 6-4 should  |
