Sorry to hear that you are having problems. Relationships are difficult no matter what you do. If this is really how you feel about the situation you may want to take to her. She may not understand what you are feeling towards what she is doing. Just (advice, not criticism) remember that you can't control what other people do in life, but you can influence them. The best thing to do would be to just talk to her, and see what happens. (and if you did already, thats good).

This is just free advice, feel free to take it or not as you see fit.

I would like to think there is more to the story than just that, because I don't see why you would want to prevent her from going. If you don't want to go to College, that is your choice to make, as it is hers to decide to go or not.

I understand why you wouldn't want her to leave, but the sad truth is, life blows like that. My best advice would be to just keep talking about btween you two.

As I said before, your post is a bit vague. More details would be nice.

It doesn't matter if the degree won't help, but if it will give her more money. It is always good to go to college. Remember you choice to go to college, but it isn't your choice if she goes.

I had a similar problem..I guess . The guy was holding me back and I know what I am capable of so I let him go. I wanted to do much more than what he wanted. Just ask her what she may want. It's not your choice for her to go to college or not. Discuss it more with her. College teaches you more than just the education. It's experiences she doesn't want to miss out on also. Just try and work things out.

Woohoo! I think she's finally convinced to try a different approach. In other words, my efforts haven't been wasted. I'll put the reasons why in another thread so this one doesn't go off-topic.
