I'd go with the leaf too. It requires a slight amount of more work, since you don't need to hold down the jump button like using the cape. Also it is at least a little more challenge to get 1UPs in spots with unlimited emerging enemies, such as the green pipes in 1-2 and other levels. Do this for an hour or even more and your fingers hurt  |

| I like the Cape, because...I'd love to have a cape. Seriously though, I never the Racoon suit as a flight though. Don't know why, but I just never did. So I'll leave voting for the experts, as I never flown with the leaf. |

| No. There are no levels in Super Mario Bros. 3 that *require* Racoon Mario. There are a few bonuses that you can't get without it, obviously, and it's floating abilities help greatly on some levels (especially in the Dark World), but you never NEED it. Hell, you could complete every level in SMB3 with just normal Mario if you felt so inclined. | |||

Tough call, but I had to go with the Leaf. Racoons just plain rule.  Didn't really have a problem learning how to control Racoon Mario in flight. |
