http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7882&topic=14123697&page=0 Again, GameFAQs shows off the brink of moronicism. People there are doing things like savestating when going for records and such, there are emulators that have been just helping out that fact. MisterDAN in that topic has been bringing up good points, even though most of the people there are just blantantly ignoring them just because they don't have a ounce of good facts to back it up... Though, I would like to take my point across on the fact that having savestates just to be better than an amazing gamer is just crappy, it's basically damn cheating. If these type of things are going to go one, what's the point of competiting with each other in things like that? What's the point of being a skill-bearing gamer and being able to show that you did that so well that most people could only watch in awe, if this kind of thing will make it so that EVERYBODY could do it with savestates and prove it with a video that can be manipulated that it was to be real? No, there isn't one and basically it would fucking ruin that sense. I mean, it would really just shatter the idea of online competition in its respects. How? Easy... It would look really stupid if everybody got the same score or time, and they endlessly were bragging (if you're that way when it comes to be better than others...) about how they got that score or time... So, what you guys think about it? I certainly made my point... |
