Better on the Ps2 or on the computer? I've heard great things about this game, but I'm not about to dish out extra cash just to play it on my Ps2. Is there any difference anyway? And has anyone played it yet?

I have it for the PC. It's pretty good.

The only reason you would want to play it for the PS is to be able to use the PS2 controller, which fits the game absolutely perfectly. However, for only ten dollars plus shipping and handling, you can order a USB adapater to hook it up to your computer, and it'll also work if your NES is getting old and you want to play ROMs on your computer.

I'd say go with the PC version.

If you buy it, let me know. I'll hook you up with a worldpass. I usually play with a group from the Penny Arcade message board, but since I just recently moved to thier server and haven't been playing much, I'm still pretty low level.

I have a character on my friend's account... if you see some chick named Cleyra running around on Asura, well, that's me.

...what... I was feeling... adventurous at the time Besides, if all goes well this summer and I can afford a new vid card I'll probably start playing more seriously on an account of my own...

I can't really play it on my PC at the moment, but I think I'll just wait until I get my hands on a new video card instead of playing on PS2.

I'll probably only play for a month anyway, and then I'll get bored and I'll stop.

Let me put it this way...

If this is your first MMORPG, you'll love it.

If you've played MMORPG's before, then you'll realize that this game blows.

Can I get a witness?

I can witness against you. Does that count for anything?

The game most certainly blows for the first week or two while you're still getting on your feet. After that it takes off at a pretty nice pace.

I'm going to go ahead and say the exact opposite.

For the first week, it's all good and fun.

But after that, you realize that it's a HUGE level grind and basically nothing more. (But then again, what MMORPG isn't that?)

It don't come here till 3/23/04 for the PS2. I can't say anything yet about. I am getting it and will be on it. I played PSO and I heard that FFXI is better. I am ready for it to come out.

Try playing some free or free although the official version is P2P, before you go for this.
MMORPG are very different from normal RPG, so you might be in for quite a scare if you

The main reason I am going to buy it too is for the HDD. It's going to be worth it in the long run especially for SOCOM II maps. SOCOM II is the reason I got all my online stuff for PS2. I play this religiously.

I'm still waiting for it to come out on PS2 where I am. I doubt my comp would be able to run it.

I do look foreward to playing with you all. Good to know I'll see some familiar faces.

I'd consider it if they had alternate payment plans. Something like a gamecard...

How long until there's a private server? XD

I've been contemplating wheter or not I should get this game because of my internet. My PC probably can't handle it because it's old, so I'm thinking about getting it for my PS2. I don't have anything that lets me use internet on PS2 and don't know anything about it. What should I get? I also have a dialup ISP for my computer, would I have to use it through that, and how slow would it be?

I think I'll be getting this over X-Box Live... <.< So, I'll tell you guys when I get it, but from accounts I've heard, PC and PS2 are one and the same.

I wouldn't mind trying the game, but seeing as I'm currently happy with Ragnarok Online (which runs fine on my dial-up), I probably wouldn't buy FF 11.

ff11 is boring at first... then you reach lvls 10-15.... which are preu torture... then you go beyond that and realise that this game is pretty good. Then you get your chocobo... all n all, I like the game, you just have to stick to it for a few weeks before you discover how fun this game can be. Especially when you get into good parties... and yeah, PS2 and PC are the same, even same servers they say. Just PS2 supposedly has crazy huge menu's from what I've heard.

You might correct for the half of it

Every MMORPGs got the same concept of gameplaying, so you can't really say it blows when you played other MMORPGs before...

Then again, MMORPG main goal is to let massive players to play at the same time, thus this make all the lone wolves pointless. Why play solo when you can interact with other players(real human at the other side of world)? There is no point when you are lvl99 and no one plays with you.

MMORPG is for you to play slowly and interact with the community; if you are a level freak and want to be best of all, stop playing MMORPG and play RPG instead
