Wow, well recently Ive found that I have this disease of a sort, basically its Intolerance to anything with gluten and since almost all foods have Gluten in them whenever I eat the entrance to my small intestine closes up and the villae(spelling?) start to spasm because of the gluten then I am left with severe pain and whatever I ate being held up in my stomach it lasts for maybe half an hour sometimes more then after a trip to the crapper I feel fine again. Ive noticed it go from every so often to every damn day. I would like to know if anyone here has the same thing even though ive heard its not so common, and if you do have it what ways do you deal with it?

Can you define gluten for me? I only have diabetes type I, so I don't deal with gluten. =\

EDIT: I probably do deal with it, but what is it anyway?

It's a type of protein mostly used in wheat, its created whenever wheat flower and a liquid mix together but as far as I know most foods have it. (Im no health expert so my terms could be off).

I have a friend in college with this problem. It seems like a pain and a half to me but he's adjusted to it since he's learned what he can and can't eat. Like at McDonald's he gets hamburgers with no buns and such.

I have something similar to that called colitis. Certain foods will cause me to have diarrhea and pain in my stomach. As soon as I feel the pain or feel like I'm going to have diarrhea, I just take some Pepto Bismol and it seems to help.

I don't have it but my sisters have it.

You will deal pretty well with it, at least my sister have done. She can go eat outside and get Gluten free bread very easy. Macdonalds for example have gluten free bread in this country.

And not that much food have gluten, usually you can make gluten free alternatives of everything.
