Oldskool games! They were the most original games I've ever played, and 8-bit kicks arse.

New games are flashier, a lot of fun, but somehow more shallow. I think it's just because they have to be easier to be in 3-d, as most new ones are. (Note the penis-severing difficulty of next-gen 2-d games like Ikaruga. Aaaugh! My gonads!!) But that always happens right after a technological bar-raising. Next-gen games are getting more complex, more tightly knit, and deeper every year. This trend can be seen in the old school systems too.
Just look at the lifespan of the Super NES. Example: the difference between Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island. Bickering about the different merits of both games aside, the first one was graphically simpler, and had a more stable base. (NOTE!!! I AM NOT SAYING EITHER ONE IS BETTER!!!) Yoshi's Island had much more texture, and some ridiculously challenging variety. (Touch fuzzy, get dizzy! Remember? They even tweaked the music and made his eyes bug out a la psylocibin!) I guess I'm just trying to say that different doesn't mean better or worse, but games are definitely improving (if that makes sense).

I like the old SNES and NES games, they remind me of old careless days when I was much younger. Also my favourite FF was on the NES and my favourite Mario was on SNES which are my favourite games .

I like both Old and New. New games have given me joy just as the old ones have.

I like both. There's a lot of good old games and there are a lot of good new games too. I still play some old games, but I use my PS2 fairly often as well, so I'd say I like both equally.
