If I have to pick one, I'll go with Metallica's ...And Justice for All. I'm a big fan of progressive rock--Yes, Rush, etc.--and AJFA was Metallica's most pointed album in that direction while still retaining the thrash elements that got them to that point. "Dyer's Eve" in particular stands as their last great thrash statement before they went on to simplify their music. |

(What's The Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis is the best album ever. From the very beginning with Hello, through the hit songs Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger, to the beautiful ending with Champagne Supernova, this album is perfect all the way through.

I would go with S&M (CD2)-Metallica. I think this is their best "recent" album. And this pretty much the only I'm listening to, since a few month. |

It's a tough call indeed, as it's tough to pick just one... I'll say Metallica's Black Album, just to put it out there. |

Beastie Boys' Liscence to Ill. Probably one of the best albums ever, period. |

License to Ill kicked ass. I think I'd have to go with Nirvana's In Utero. Without a doubt their best album.. Wasn't it said on VH1 that the best album was like, something by the beatles.. and the second best was Nirvana's Nevermind.. VH1's Twelve Hour List Series.. hoo ha. |

In Utero kicks very much ass. I don't think you can ever decide on the best rock album though. Rock could be anything, y'know

My personal faves are Led Zeppelin IV, Metallica's Black Album, and Dark Side of the Moon. All great albums filled with classic, excellent songs.

For the most prt, Animal Rights by Moby has a lot of good rock in it, surprisingly enough. But real classic rock? Get a Grip - Aerosmith and 1984 - Van Halen

Mansun - Six (the UK version not the American) AFI - Sing the Sorrow Machinae Supremacy - Deus ex Machinae All of these are in the last ten years or so, but I think they are easily the only rock CDs you will ever need. |
