Is it just me or doesn't the purple triangle blocks work in a vertical level with the Underground 1 tileset?

If it doesn't work with just _these_ tiles, then create a new block in the Map16 area. Make it act like a solid block (130) and assign the fitting tiles for displaying the GFX from the underground tileset. So this could be cement block but only using other GFX Maybe it could work |

If I recall correctly, there's a tile that must be directly under the purple triangle tile for it to function. Perhaps it's not there or is being obscured? Once I get home, I'll see if I can dredge up more details on this. |

I remember in some hack, the purple triangles were almost impossible to climb.. however, if you jumped on them right at the lower end and kept running, you could make them work. Really strange. Is that what's going on here?

The purple triangle blocks works in every level. Just set the block under the triangle to 1EB, then it must work. |

I have a purple triangle block in a vertical level, and it works fine. If you're using the pre-assembled extended object (comprised of the triangle and a piece of ground), make sure you're not placing it across a sub-screen boundary. Remember, vertical levels have a stupid memory map, and will chop up any object that crosses a boundary (except the specially-made slope objects).

Gandalf: Already tried before making the topic. Esch-something and H. Mario: I know about that tile. BMF: I'm using it the same way in another vertical level (another tileset) and it works fine. Also, I know about the stupid boundary programming... Hmm... Maybe it just works on the right subscreens? (The working triangle is on the right subscreen and the non-working triangle is on the left one) |
