I want to encode a directory into a Gzip archive (well, public_html... making a quick way to back up my site). However, I'm not sure how to encode a directory and its contents. Readdir(), etc. seem to just give file names and info about them, but not the contents. (edited by Luigi on 05-23-04 05:19 AM) |

I think it's pretty obvious. With readdir() you get the filenames, and because with that, the actual filenames are given, you can use other functions (using the filename) to grab whatever information you need about the given files. |
