Aww HHEYLLL Nawww!!!!

When will parents take accountability for their own children, may I ask? It seems to me that it's doubtful that they ever will. Sad, really.

How about instead of making negligent parents prosecutors, we instead prosecute them for failing to pay attention to their children?

Edit: By reading Hunter's website, and a copy of the bill, it would seem this is aimed purely at pornographic material, especially on the computer, which makes this bill more reasonable

That seems pure stupidity. That would mean everyone has power to sue just because something could supposedly be harmful to someone. This is complete bullshit and should be uncostituional due to the first admendment as long as there are warnings of what it is there should be no problem though.

Dude. That's not funny.

If you'll excuse me I'm going to go sue Greyhound. Because their prices were too high, I wasn't able to go on a trip I wanted too, so I had to stay home and look at porno instead.

Doesn't it say they can sue stores who sell like porn or something innapropriate to minors? Because, you know, they shouldn't be selling that anyway.

This is more asinine than Howard Stern being kicked off the air. This is revolting; it'll never pass. The comic industry is too powerful for that nonsense. That's like banning all M-rated video games.

Let's look at some issues:

-Minors getting "M"+ rated vieogames

This is bullshit right here. The only way a kid can get an M rated game and still be blamed for posessing it is if he find it on a street corner. Other than that, store clerks and parents are the only ones who can stop it. They (buy/sell) the game thinking that (the M means Moose/they made another sale). Why people don't realize this is fucking dumb.

-Minors getting into R movies, renting pornos, etc

See above.

-Minors seeing porn on the INTARWEB.

Parents can't do jack once a minor finds the site. The sites have legal disclamiers that tell minors "go away, this is adult stuff". By entering, you are confirming that you are 18, and lying about that makes them exempt from any subpoenas from angry parents whose children visited angrynymphosluts.biz. Other than that, it's the parent's fault. You should teach your kid better.

And that is why this will never pass.

The problem is that no one takes accountability for their children because their child is "precious, and innocent" even though they sneak out every night to smoke dope with some prositutes.

No one anymore takes account of themselves or other people (see the obesity lawsuits against McDonalds recently).

What we need are better parents, better kids, and better politicians. We don't need another freaking "protect the children because they're so innocent even though they've seen porn when they were younger" law.

Kids are smart these days. There is no way that bill will change anything. Points for trying, though, parents
