Me, im going for both, mainly because they both look awesome, and because each has specific features I like, such as DS with the touch screen, and long battery life, and PSP with its awesome looking design, and those awesome games, with the ability to watch Movies and listen to Music....I am gonna start saving up for both of them, they wont be released for awhile, so I got a while to save up yet...

Looks like it will be the DS, I maybe buy two of them. One for my sister... so we can play the multiplayer games.

Unless PSP have some games that intrest me, I probably won't buy it. The main reason I won't buy PSP is money, I can't afford both DS and PSP you know.

one game I cant wait for is "Before Crisis: Final Fantasy 7" a prequel to FF7, although I was just reading and it is being developed by Square-Enix's Mobile Sub division, so it said it might be for a cell phone, probably some N-Gage or something, which I sure hope not.....because if it is.........another reason I would like the PSP more then the DS is because they are remaking some of the old titles for it....

1) I can afford a DS.
2) 2 screens
3) One processor for each
4) Touch-screen on the bottom
5) Wireless bluetooth LAN
6) Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario 64x4, WarioWare DS, Animal Crossing DS, A doodle chat program, etc.etc.
7) Microphone

And, like always, Nintendo will come through when battery life is concerned.

DS gets my vote.

The battery life is true, for the psp it is supposed to be 10 hours when listening to just music, and only 2.5 when watching movies, not sure about when playing games, although I would think it is the same as when watching movies.

Or less, 'cause games use more calculatingpower than just videodecompressing.

And I preordered the DS, 'cause it'll have Animal Crossing, Wario Ware and Metroid. And don't forget other games and the PictoChat programm.

I will get the Dual Screen, I haven't found out much about it yet, so I will later. Does anyone know the Europe release date? And is there regional encoding? (PAL and NTSC)

There will be no PAL or NTSC, 'cause that are TV-Norms and only of value for devices connecting to a TV.

And as we know Nintendo, there will be no Regional Code for a portable device (the e-reader has it 'cause of a different reason).

Oh yeah, forgot about them being only used for tellies.

So, how is stylus + buttons going to work in conjunction? It sounds hard to do.

I'm going to guess the buttons in MPH:

D-Pad: Up is forward, down is backward, and left and rigth are strafe.
Four buttons: Change your weapon, like in Prime.
Screen: This is the cool part. You hold the stylus to the screen. Moving it to the left will turn you left. Moving it to the right will turn you right. And tapping on the screen shoots.
Select: Ball morph mode.

-Ball Morph mode:
D-Pad: 3rd person controls.
Four buttons: Don't know. Don't see any use. Maybe bombs.
Screen: Tapping will either put down a normal bomb or a super bomb.
Select: Return to normal.

I think that sounds good.

I'm going to get the DS because I think that overall, I will have a more enjoyable time with something that is ingenious.

I'll get the PSP price depending.

I wonder how much of a price difference there is gonna be....it would be pretty funny if the DS ended up costing more then the PSP but that probably wont happen...so far nintendo's prices have been like half of sony's prices for any console and will probably be the same for a handheld.

I think that I would buy them both. Here are the reasons:

PSP:
1. I can play MP3s, AAC, and ATRAC3 format music files on the PSP.
2. It has UMD, which can play such things as music video clips, movies and sports programs.
3. It is equpped with USB 2.0 connectors.
4. The PSP has Wi-Fi communication.

Nintendo DS:
1. Two screens. One regular screen and one touch screen.
2. It also Wi-Fi.
3. I would be able to play Metroid Prime 2 portably.
4 I am a Nintendo freak.

I like both handheld systems in their own way. I think that I might buy the Nintendo DS first because I think it is going to be cheaper than the PSP and that I am a Nintendo freak.

DS earns it. Why?

1: I don't listen to music in MP3 format nor do I watch movies;
2: I'm not a big fan of the games for the PS(2),
3: Dual screens + mic + wireless = pwn, and
4: Chances are the DS will be cheaper, and therefore easier to get.

Go Nintendo.

For me, it will base largely on what games will be available.

Judging by what Nintendo has shown us so far, I'll probably lean in that direction...
