Does anyone know any free site servers? I am finding it hard to store pictures on the net, as I do alot of art and would one day like to disply some of my work

After searching for 10 minutes to find a thread already addressing the question, I just said to hell with it and will give you this.

It's about 3 threads down.

You can use that [angelfire.com] or geoshitties [geocities.com] for it, just use the tips in there

well, there are many such sites, such as Geocities or Tripod. however, such sites will put ad banners in your sites, and won't allow off-site linking of images. for example, if you put some of your work on a geocities site, then tried to post it here, it would be blocked by geocities because this site is not geocities.

there are some workarounds to this, as detailed and discussed in this thread.

if your sole purpose is for displaying your artwork, then sites such as DeviantArt may be more suitable.

The best free server I Know is: TO install Apache (or anything else) and then your ready to have yer server. Good for image hosting.

A lot of people seem to be wanting free servers. I say just pay the 6$ a month for something small but good. Or go through someone else's hosting. I dont think a server for free is all that good. If you can afford it but if not then I guess go for the free server.

The interesting thing about Capitalism is that you're going to recieve competition, no matter what.

FuitadNET provides 3GB space and 25GB bandwidth per month for just $5, which is a lot, actually =D

After comparing...

Keep in mind I took this information directly off of these sites [Fiftypounds and FuitadNET] and have not altered anything.

Make your own decisions, although this graph clearly shows who wins...

yeah. half a gig is plenty except for hosting large files (or numerous smaller files). for J. Random Website, it's fine.
fuitad's rig is pretty good as well, although it seems contradictory to allow more disk space but less bandwidth (in comparison to 50lbs).

It's only 5/6 of 50lbs, which isn't that much when you compare space (Six time than that of 50lbs).

I would choose Fuitad net, 3GB is awesome, and not like I would use it all, but it would be cool, and 25 instead of 30Gb bandwidth isnt a big difference at all

you also neglect to consider the fact that that host has 100's of customers making their server slower overall

you also neglect to consider the fact that I am strongly considreing HAVING a control panel on my new server

and you also neglect to consider the fact.. .you dont' really NEED a control panel.....
So you ahve to wait a few hours for a Subdomain or E-Mail address... the level of service / support / and performance is much higher

Quality = Buisiness. If you can't give them what they need now, they'll forget you. Plus the fact that people that are new to it (i.e. most of the people here that ask) aren't too knowledgeable, they'll need a site like Fuitad.

And the fact that Fuitad has several servers to host on speeds it up a bit.

You also neglect the fact that nowhere on your site does it mention that you are considering this.

I go off of what information I can get. So shut it. If you would've put it on there, it would've been diffrent.

I'm with ErkDog on this one. His server is alot faster then most of the one you can find. Also, bandwitdh is a great factor, even if there is a little difference. And I noticed that the bad things (in Xkeeper's comparisons table) are in red. But look, the price is the same so why is FiftyPound's in red? Because of 0.01$ ?

no it's in Red, because Cymoro and XKeeper are fucking idiots....

and they think they need a control panel for a website....
and maybe they do, cause they are fucking stupid or something I don't know

I have 20 customers right now....

NONE of them have any problems because I don't have a control panel....

I have PMA preinstalled
Webstats installed

I setup their site... and they use it....

pretty fucking simple really......

ZERO complaints from ANY of my customers
