This is so stupid it's funny!

Yep... way back then, that's what you would call a good commercial. Pretend you're in 1993 and you even think that's a good commercial. Classic, no? Best damned thing I ever saw for a Kirby commercial! And funny thing is, when I saw it again, I remember seeing the original when I was only 5!!!

Also, I remember seeing the old SMRPG commercials with that old man. Anyone have clips of that as well?

I remember that one. Forgot all about it. One of my all time favorites was the witch doctor Dr. Mario commercial. Ah, those were the days. I miss them.

Check out here for more old commercials from the early ninties and earlier. If you're around the same age as me (22) then it's right up your alley.

*sniffle* I miss being young. Back when it was cool to stay up late and watch Arsenio Hall while wearing your parachute pants.

I played the game, but was way too young to remember the commercial..
Two things that stand out in my mind for my childhood tv shows.. wayne's world, mario bros cartoon, GI Joe, and a Sinead O'Connor music video.
I am very sad.

btw, thanks a ton for the link. That commercial kicked ass. today's commercials should follow its example. Life would be good.

I know what Legion is referring to by teachings of I Love the 80's. now i am l33ts.

Hah! I never thought I'd ever see that commercial again! I always loved that... And I never realized how odd Kirby was drawn there...

I still think it's a great commercial.. and wished that they would've remade it for when they remade Kirby's Adventure into Nightmare in Dreamland...

The only NES commercial I remember was some for SMB3. And well... that was at a buddy. The channels I had didn't have commercials aimed against children...

This one is one of my favorites, it's just so... silly.

Hehehe, and they actually expected to sell Zelda games advertising like this?

Back then, EVERY video game commercial was cheesy.

*remembers the SMB3 commercial where they made it look like the entire US was filled with cheering Mario fans*

What do you mean, "back then"?
Video game commercials are STILL cheesy... or at least the ones I see.

Frankly, I can't stand most ads on TV these days... they either rely on very strange puns to attempt humor, they make absolutely no sense, or they've got "actors" with less talent than the average high school drama queen

I... actually liked the commercial. It has a cheesy quality that almost pokes fun at itself. Beats the hell out of those gamecube commercials with the lame highschool age dweebs.

My favorite vg commercials have to be the Super Smash Bros. commercial, Dr. Mario, and Kirby 64. Those were hilarious and awesome!

It's finny when I watch my old Simpson tapes and I had the commercials on them. A few Doctor Marios if I remember right.

But the best commerical will always be that Snickers commerical, where the football player was hit and he thought he was Batman. XD

Did you see the Second Legend of Zelda one? I wonder what that (Fuckin' crazy) guy is doing now. He goes around a place which is like a prison cell and shouts "Zelda!!" and says things like "Oooh, Octoroks" and "Aaaah, Tektites!"

Disturbing
