| You may know my SMW hack from before the board was restarted. Well, I've decided to make that a part of a bigger section of my website called the SMW Hacker's Section. I want to use screenshots from various hacks for the background (lightened, of course), and this is why I posted: to get permission to use them. Here are the hacks I want screenshots from: Demo World: The Legend Continues-by FuSoYa Mario World Super-by Lemon Kirby Just another Mario Hack-By Juggling Joker Super Mario's Quest-By Hidden Mario Thanks. The background is very light, the text is black, and there's a red line around it. It's as readable as things get!  Why would I want non-SMW Screenshots? It's the "SMW Hacker's Section". Dario's World it is, but that elimates Hidden Mario's Hack. Do I need permission for Demo World or can I just use that one, given the fact that it is probably the most famous SMW Hack? |

| SMWExpert, as for your layout, it _is_ not readable though, a click opens a new window: http://mitglied.lycos.de/mithrandir21/darklayout.png Though we have to highlight the text to read it  As for the thread; _if_ you get the permission, merging backgrounds and graphics from other hacks ist good; as long all comes along with your own ideas and not with copying ideas as well  |

Is the image background not showing up? It's a PNG, which has the smallest file size of all images. And I'm not using graphics from other hacks in my own hack, I'm using them in the background for a section of my website called the SMW Hacker's Section! Didn't you read the first post of this thread? |

| Okay, here's your permission. I'll give you credit. This is NOT bumping anything, as the last reply was only yesterday! I'm going to work on the background, but only once I finish that SMB3 Underwater tileset I'm working on (I applied to work on it). You can always find the website in my signature, but the SMW Hacker's Section won't be up for a few days. Mods, you can close this thread now-it has no use. |

| Your layout is perfectly readable when the background image loads, but if for whatever reason it doesn't, you get the problem Gandalf posted: black text on a black or very dark background. I suggest you add a light background color to your table, just in case that happens. *closes* |
