Actually, just because a game looks like a child's game, doesn't mean that it is. There's quite a few puzzle games for any Nintendo system, and quite frankly, I prefer things that make me think and try over things that just look pretty.

I've always loved the Nintendo series, even when it's become totally whacked. But seriously, Wind Waker wasn't all that difficult, but it was hella fun. The first Zelda was just fun and new, and I still say it's one of my favorite games ever. It may not be pretty, or very adult like, but it doesn't matter. Graphics don't make the games, it's what's actually inside the game that really matters. I mean yeah, some games are hella pretty, but they can still really suck ass. Not to mention with more adult oriented games, the more everyone is going to attack video games for any thing bad that happens around children who play them. I love Nintendo, I like their adult and child oriented games. I am a devout fan to Nintendo, though I'm not a fanboy. I have lot's of faith in their ability, and I'm sure that they'll do what needs to be done.

(Alright, I lied. I posted again).

(sorry if some stuff is repeated a little, I had to go back and edit a lot of stuff)
That actually sounds like something that I'd reason with. I still like many Nintendo games, because Mario and games like it are classics that were fun and even goofy in their own way and entertaining. But I felt that a lot of the N64 games were more focused on being 3D rather than the gameplay (for a period of time, but not the whole time), some of the Game's story line and challenge weren't as great as the Snes's of the Nes's.
(it seemed like they a little spent too much time on making it 3D, and because of that, they didn't have enought time to make some corrections to the story, they also had a shortage of games for a while, and they were very focused on producing more games, rather than less games that were excellently thought out (they seemed to have planned out some very good games, but something seemed to have made them need to cut certain things out, which is a shame, but that seemed to be the only way to relase them in time). It kind of seemed like they had to cut out a few things that would have been really good because of a shortage of time. Making really good aspects to a game can be tough sometimes, especially when pressed for time like they were (at least for a short while when the N64 was still pretty new).

The new game looks amazing.
In the video, I like that the entire thing looks like game footage (with the obvious exceptions appearing to be cutseens rather than video clips). I can't wait to try horse-mounted combat (like Fyxe, I think it's game footage). I like how they decided to make Link cute. The only thing in it that I don't like is the fire demon type thing. The effects and such are amazing, but the enemy itself looks unfit. I like my fire demons to look like they could cremate the hero even without their magical powers (for an example, see the Infernals from Warcraft 3).

To people arguing:
People who don't play games becouse they're "childish" should be stabbed.
People without any writing style who try to make long paragraphs should be stabbed.
People who write entire paragraphs in parenthesis should be stabbed.
People who think saying the same thing over and over again will sway people to their point should be stabbed.
People who insult people for liking/disliking a game should be stabbed. However, people who insult people for having stupid reasons to like/dislike a game are perfectly fine.

And lastly, as a response to people yelling about what Zelda game was best:
The first one was great, except for the stabbing. It's a shame they didn't come up with making Link swing his sword for a while yet.
The second one was cool (*ducks a tomato*). Play controll was lousy though; I like my play controll snappy and crisp, like in Conquest of the Crystal Palace (NES), Demon's Crest (SNES), and Wind Waker (GCN)
Link to the Past was spiffy.
Link's awakening is one of my favorites. Snappy play controll and the Roc's Feather. Yay.
Occerina of Time was alright. Some of the later levels annoyed me. No, I don't remember specifically why.
Majora's Mask was alright. There should've been more places to swim around in the Zora's Mask. I didn't replay it, so I'm not sure it could've been that great.
Wind Waker was ownage; but I've got three complaints. Barel-hiding sucks. There weren't enough good battles (A few battles with squads of Darknut difficulty foes that weren't all Darknuts would be perfect). And they managed to make Re-Deads look utterly stupid.

I agree with you on most points, Squashy, although I actually think the ReDeads looked surprisingly creepy despite the cel-shading style. I never thought the 'generic zombie' look of the ReDeads in OoT was very scary at all, so I welcomed the change.

And I think horse-mounted combat has been pretty much confirmed.

I think the fire demon is meant to be orge-like. His design appears to be so he doesn't move fast but he attacks with his huge chain and using his fire attacks. I agree; fire demons that look nippy and 'fit' are cool, but it would amount to a completely different type of enemy.
And since I'm guessing that is the first boss (based on past experience of Zelda trailers and the fact that they're more likely to have finished the first boss first), I think a fast and really dangerous fire demon would be a bit much.

Good point about it being a first boss there (he has the typically huge opening right after the chain attack...). Which makes one think... bosses that evil looking usually don't show up untill later in the game. I kinda like how that sounds for the rest of the game. As much as I'm against darkness just for darkness's sake, I like it when the forces of evil look the part.

So far it looks like he's got an attack with his chain and one with a big burst of fire. The first is blockable with the sheild. The later, however, looks a bit intense. I see three possibilities with that move... one is that it's possible to jump back out of its range, the second is that it's just for the boss's opening sequence, and the last possibility is that they brought back the Roc's feather. I suspect the first, but the third would be just plain amazing.

As for ReDeads, they looked like their huge heads would make them fall over. Perhaps it would appear better to me if they connected the head higher up, so the jaw hung down. That might make them look a bit too much like evil gorrillas, though.

I found the Redeads scary back then, but I quickly got used to them. I was scared more easily back then...

I laughed when I saw the Redeads in Wind waker, they look so funny... but so freaky at the same time. >.>;
