I thought the first Shreak wasn't that bad. It had some pretty good moments (Weasal: Muffin Man Scene XD). Hopefully this one won't turn out like many other sequels...

Guess what. I'm responding to this. AND I HAVE SEEN IT.
OMGOMGOGMOGMOGMGOGM

I saw it yesterday. When we arrived, they were sold out of tickets for the one we went to AND the next one. they were selling like hotcakes. Lots of young kids, obviously. They laughed at the Garfield priemere. there was a priemere for some movie about two tigers who grow up with this kid, and it's too ridiculous. If you haven't seen it, I couldn't possibly explain. The kids laughed at a lot of parts, and I still hate theaters. Even when it was actually funny (rare), the laughing irritated me. There should be a way to block out other sounds.
The movie itself was okay. It met the standards I set, which weren't that high. What frustrated me was that the writer's missed spots that could've been real funny, as if they had been rushing to get this film out.

Saw it this past Tuesday, and I must say, not as good as the first one, I doubt they could do a repeat on that anyway. I felt that it was rushed and more like something made for TV or straight to DVD. I did enjoy Puss in Boots, aww...he was so kawaii!

I saw Shrek 2 last Friday with my friend Blair.

I thought the first one was a lot funnier. I did laugh a few times in Shrek 2, though. Needless to say Shrek 2 was so-so. Next movie I wanna see is Spider Man 2, and I'm trying to convince my dad to let me see Kill Bill, bleh.

As seen on cinescape.com:

Writers Peter Seaman and Jeffrey Price have been hired to start working on a script for SHREK 3. DreamWorks, the studio that released the first two SHREKs, has now said that it wants the third adventure out in time for a holiday 2006 timeframe. Another writer, Jon Zack (who has a movie called THE PERFECT SCORE coming out later this year) will work on SHREK 3 in a consultant capacity.

Earlier buzz about the storyline for the third picture centered on Shrek meeting with King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Whether this is the same direction that Seaman and Price will continue with remains unknown. While no deal has been reached to return SHREK's voice talent, it's generally believed that deals will be worked out eventually for Mike Myers (Shrek), Cameron Diaz (Princess Fiona) and Eddie Murphy (Donkey) that will see them reprise their characters for a third adventure (and possibly a fourth too.)

I saw Shrek 2 last saturday and I have this to say about it:

Hmm, after watching both Shrek and Shrek 2, I find that the sequel has some ups and downs for its follow-up. First of all, the animation is much smoother. It makes the emotions a lot more realistic and the action more efficient. The humor is two-sided. It was well done, and it made fun pokes at quite a few things throughout the movie, which made it more enjoyable for all ages. The storyline and fun characters reached out to the kids, while the "older" humor made it fun for teenagers and adults. (i.e. Flashdance!!! =D)

On the downside, the story seemed uneven. At times it was too slow (Such as the time period after the honeymoon to when they reach Far, Far Away) , at other times it went too fast (The entire ending.) Plus, near the end, it was so crammed with spoofs and fun pokes that it turned me off. Sure, those things are good, but in large quantities in small amounts of time, they aren't as well executed. I'm sure some of the jokes could've waited for the presumed sequel. (See Anya's post)

But, still, I had fun watching it, and I wouldn't mind going to see it again. That is, after I get my dose of the other, great, upcoming movies.

I saw Shrek 2 about a week after it came out, and went to the late night showing(No little kids!!) I Loved it. I thought it was hilarious. Puss is SO cute!!

I also suggest Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It is much darker than the first two(thanks to a new director). So, even if you didn't favor the first two, you might like this one.

I saw Sheik 2 in the threaters..

I haven't seen the first one all the way through. Saw most of it but i was at my lady friend's house and ended up not paying attentsion.

Sheik II was fun, but the ending seemed to rushed. Alot of jokes in a short amount of time doesn't work for me. Over all it was good, but what i seen from the first one, that one is still the better one.

I'm with LostAuzzie... the pacing was a little off in those moments, but it was basically a really good shotgun blast o' FUN. There's all kinds of things you'll pick up on, no matter what age you are, and a lot of stuff that only the older people (like MEEEEE) will get.

When you have Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderez singing a duet of 'Livin' la Vida Loca,' you KNOW you've got a good movie goin' on.

I actually thought the movie was pretty good. It had comedy, romance, and yet a good lesson tied in, too.

A person' appearence should not be how you judge them.

The movie had humor for kids AND adults...But the storyline's pace was, indeed, a little off at points...

"I drank some magic potion, and now...I'm SEXY!!!"

Gotta love it.

I've seen many previews about Shrek 2 and it looks good based on what I watched so far. I doubt, however, it'll be good as the first Shrek.
I'm planning on either renting or buying the movie when it comes out though.

Puss in Boots is nominated as one of the best animated characters of the year. Although a few parts were funny (the catnip part and the dog getting yelled at)Shrek is not really my cup of tea due to how brief the movie seems. But it was better than the first one. Puss in Boots is awesome! First he gives the sad kitty face, then shreds people to pieces, not to mention the funny Latino accent.

I haven't seen the movie, and I don't really like cats. I don't like donkeys that much either. I guess that I should try having an ogre as a pet. Saw Shreck 1 though.
