| Well, I for one do use AOL. I like it's features. (Shut up.) Somewhat more on-topic, however; Are you sure? I've had AIM on for quite a bit (though not as much as normal lately, I've been sidetracked by Chrono Trigger) and have never had a problem like this... Only real problem seems to be that if you're on AOL and sign on with the same s/n on AIM it'll sometimes fail to connect. Edit: Oh, and Bella, it was definitely Windows ME. AOL is a lot sturdier than people say. I've tried MSN, and it's terrible, terrible interface has pretty much scarred me for life, with features similiar to those of AOL, but somewhat more difficult to access. I had Trillian a while ago, but during the one AIM talk I had, I got disconnected by Trillian at least 20 times within half an hour.  I just use MSN now.  As for ISPs, I'm stuck with Telus Dial-up. It doesn't disconnect at random, just the highest connection speed I can get is 28.8 Kbps, which runs notRO just fine. I'd get ADSL, but the nearest town is 40 kilometers away, and satilite internet costs WAY too much. |
