| Well, I'm jewish, so today's my bar-mitzvah. Hopefully I won't mess up. Most of my relatives and all of my friends are coming, so it'll be fun. Meh, the only problem is that I have a slight sore throat, but I'll just have to deal with it. Um, wish me luck.. I may need it. EDIT: ugh, I typoed the title... How it worksis that for 6 months I've been studying the hebrew required. On my bar-mitzvah (in a few hours) It is liike a normal service, only instead of the Rabbi leading it, I do most of that. Then, when it is time time to read the torah, I do that as well. I read 21 verses , but there are no vowels in the torah.. and there are a lot of special prayers for that day. Also, I have to say a speech that I wrote about my torah portion. Basically, it is the becoming a Jewish adult. Anyway, a lot of people come, and after it is over I get to have a party  |
